With the film set to be released in Japanese cinemas in just a few days, Spy x Family Code: White shared a surprise crossover with the Disney animated film Wish in Japan.

The collab is a cross-promotional event for both films as these two animated flicks’ release dates are just one week apart in the country.

This isn’t the first time that Spy x Family had a collab for its upcoming film as there have been two high-profile crossovers in the lead-up to the Code: White premiere.

Spy x Family took the anime world by storm in 2022 thanks to its compelling premise and loveable characters. Thanks to the show’s success, the series got more animated projects in 2023.

Along with the ongoing second season, there’s the Spy x Family Code: White movie, which will be released in Japanese cinemas this week. Even though it’s billed as a holiday movie, promotion for it began months ago.

Back in July, Code: White had a surprise crossover with the latest Mission Impossible movie, which featured a special trailer, a visual, and a cute illustration of Anya as Ethan Hunt by series creator Tatsuya Endo.

There’s also the Street Fighter 6 collab, which was first teased back in July. The collab got attention again as it got an anime trailer featuring Yor and Chun-Li.

This collab is set to go live in-game this January, and fans are hoping that Yor will be added either as a guest character or at least an outfit option for characters.

Disney’s Wish and Spy x Family Code: White Collide in Collab Trailer and Visual

Now, Code: White has yet another collab, this time with Disney’s Wish. This is an unexpected collab considering Spy x Family isn’t affiliated with Disney.

The collab features a trailer that combines clips from the latest Disney animated film with the next adventure of the Forger family.

On top of this, a special crossover visual was also shared that features Anya recreating Asha’s pose.

Given that both films are aimed at families, it makes sense that these two movies are being promoted together in Japan.

Wish was released in US cinemas last month, though it was only released in Japan on December 15. Meanwhile, Spy x Family Code: White is coming to Japanese cinemas on Friday, with a US release set in 2024.
