While no stranger to collabs, Spy x Family’s latest crossover is another unexpected one. Recently, Spy x Family had a special collab with Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
This surprise cross-promotion comes right as the next Mission: Impossible is about to release in theaters. And it specifically features a recreation of the Dead Reckoning poster but with the cast of Spy x Family.
The collab doesn’t end there though, as there’s also a trailer for Dead Reckoning that features commentary from Loid and Anya Forger.
Spy x Family Code: White Gets Surprise Mission: Impossible Collab
Dead Reckoning Part One is the latest installment in the long-running Mission: Impossible series. The film was just released in cinemas, so it’s no surprise that it is being heavily promoted.
Though what is unexpected is the Spy x Family crossover. But if you think about it, the two are a perfect match as Ethan Hunt is a special agent, much like Twilight/Loid.
Both are also quite capable of espionage and other kinds of missions.
The collab was revealed via the official Spy x Family Twitter which shared a visual that recreates the new Dead Reckoning poster.
Specifically, the visual features Loid in the place of Ethan Hunt. Also with him are other major characters, including Yor, Anya, Bond, Fiona, Yuri, Franky, and Sylvia.
Aside from promoting the new Mission: Impossible movie, the visual also highlights the upcoming Spy x Family Code: White movie which features an original story by series creator Tatsuya Endo.

New Mission: Impossible Trailer Features Spy x Family Cast Commentary
The visual isn’t the only new material in the collab though, as Paramount Pictures also released a new trailer for Dead Reckoning.
Instead of simply showing new footage, this new trailer sees Loid and Anya reacting to the action-packed scenes in the film.
The trailer is also interspersed with Spy x Family sequences to promote the upcoming anime film.

Though this crossover is something that pretty much no one expected, this isn’t the only surprise collab by the anime.
Just recently, a Spy x Family and Street Fighter 6 collab was also unveiled, and it also features a special visual.
Dead Reckoning will be released in US cinemas on July 12. Meanwhile, the film will be screened in Japan beginning July 21.
