The Spy x Family franchise confirmed at AnimeJapan 2023 that a theatrical film is in the pipeline and will be released this year. Here's everything you need to know about the Spy x Family Code: White movie, including the plot, release date, trailer, and much more!
To refresh your memory, Spy x Family is an anime series produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks.
It follows the Forger family, led by the secret spy Loid Forger, his pretend wife Yor Forger, who is a secret assassin, and Anya Forger, their adopted telekinetic daughter. Will they ever discover each other's true identities?

What to Expect From Spy x Family Code: White
The Spy x Family Code: White movie, unlike other anime films that adapt a specific plot arc from the source material, will go a different route and present an original story.
This means that both anime fans and manga readers will go to the movies completely unaware of what is about to happen.
According to the synopsis listed on the Spy x Family Code: White official website, the Forger family will travel to a place identified as Frigis.
This comes after Loid pushed Anya to reproduce "Melemele," a Frigis Region confectionary.
After all, Eden Academy will host a culinary class in which students will compete for a Stella. According to Loid's intel, the principal who loves "Melemele" will be the primary judge.
Yor, on the other hand, will reassess her affection for Loid as she witnesses her faux husband speaking with a strange woman during the trip. What will happen to their relationship?
Ultimately, Anya accidentally swallows a piece of chocolate that holds vital information!

Spy x Family Code: White Movie Release Date

+ 4The Spy x Family Code: White movie will be released in Japan on December 22, 2023. The film is also confirmed to get an IMAX release on the same day as its regular theatrical premiere.
As announced by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment, the Spy x Family: Code White movie will premiere in 2024 in North American regions. It will also bring the film to Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, and select parts of Europe.
The film will be available with English subtitles and in English dub.
Based on the release dates of past anime films such as One Piece Film: Red, we should expect Spy x Family Code: White to be released in the West within six months of its Japanese premiere.
This suggests that Spy x Family Code: White will most likely be released in the US during the first half of 2024.

Spy x Family Code: White Movie Cast
click to enlarge + 4As announced, the previous cast of the Spy x Family anime adaptation will reprise their roles in Spy x Family Code: White, and they are as follows:
- Anya Forger will be played by Atsumi Tanezaki, who is also known for playing Juno in BEASTARS, Nikki Hanada in Dr. Stone: Ryusui, and Arisa Uotani in Fruits Basket 2019.
- Bond Forger will be played by Kenichiro Matsuda, who is also known for playing Hyogo in Dororo, Mink in DRAMatical Murder, and Gordon Agrippa in Black Clover.
- Yor Forger will be played by Saori Hayami, who is also known for voicing Saki Morimi in Eden of the East, Yumeko Jabami in Kakegurui, and Tsuyu in Noragami.
- Loid Forger will be played by Takuya Eguchi, who is also known for voicing Akihiko Kaji in Given, Kazuya Kujo in Gosick, and Domas in Ranking of Kings.
Here are the other characters that will appear in the film:
- Banjou Ginga (Dice Quaid in Blue Gender) plays Snjijder, a colonel who wants to destroy the peace between East and West.
- Shunsuke Takeuchi (Lovecraft in Bungou Stray Dogs) is Type F, a devious and ambitious man who leads Dmitri and Luka.
- Tomoya Nakamura (Taro Hirai in Thus Spole Kishibe Rohan live-action) as Dmitri
- Kento Kaku (Naranbayar in Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom) as Luka
We are expecting that the previous English dub cast will return to reprise their roles in the film.

A new trailer was released to further hype up Spy x Family Code: White's release. This time, the trailer features more footage from the movie.
It also previews the film's theme song titled SOULSOUP, which is performed by Official Hige Dandism, the Japanese band that performed the first season's OP.
