Sukuna and Toji no doubt took the spotlight in the latest episode, but these aren’t the only two that got attention. Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 39 also surprised fans by showing off just how strong Jogo is.

Jogo is one of the most powerful characters in the series, though it may not seem like it for some fans given that he’s usually on the receiving end of a beatdown.

That’s not the case in the latest episode though, as it finally gives fans some perspective on Jogo’s true power.

Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 39 Shows Jogo’s Strength

As a special grade cursed spirit, Jogo is an incredibly powerful foe, though he may not seem all that strong based on his previous appearances. After all, he has been soundly beaten by Satoru Gojo twice.

Even though Gojo makes it seem that Jogo is not all that powerful, that’s mostly because of how incredibly overpowered Gojo is.

The latest Jujutsu Kaisen episode shows Jogo’s strength when compared to jujutsu sorcerers who aren’t special grades.

Following the defeat of Dagon at the hands of Toji, Jogo attacks Nanami, Maki, and Naobito. Instead of a long, drawn-out fight, Jogo makes quick work of the three, leading some to believe that they’re dead.

Of course, these three sustained a lot of damage in the fight against Dagon, but the fact that Jogo didn’t even break a sweat showed the extent of his power.

Despite his strength level, it seems that Jogo is still well below the King of Curses himself, Ryomen Sukuna.

After defeating the three sorcerers, Jogo senses Sukuna’s presence. He soon hurries to Yuji Itadori’s location to feed him more fingers. Sukuna emerges and shortly kills the Hasaba twins.

Sukuna then asks what Jogo wants from him. Jogo replies that he simply wants Sukuna to take complete control over Yuji’s body. It seems that Sukuna has other plans, but he responds with a challenge to Jogo.

If Jogo were able to land even one hit on Sukuna, the King of Curses would go along with the cursed spirit’s plan.

With this, a fight between Jogo and Sukuna is bound to happen. Given how strong they are, it’ll be interesting to see how the events in the current arc will proceed.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will continue with its 16th episode next week.
