What to Expect From Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 kicked off with the Hidden Inventory arc which focuses on Satoru Gojo's young days with Suguru Geto.

Fans have wondered if Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will cover the Shibuya arc and if Yuji Itadori will be in it.

The initial trailers and promotions did not focus on Shibuya or anything related to the younger generation, but this is not the case!

Gojo's Past arc only took five episodes, leaving plenty of room for a return to the narrative present.

After waiting for more than two years for a new season, fans want to see all the cast and what they're up to.

And there's no better way of doing this than by showing the explosive Shibuya Incident arc, which is full of devastating twists.

The second season also covers the Shibuya Incident arc, which is adapted into 18 episodes. This means Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will have 23 episodes in total.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is not a split-cour anime. Early on, the anime's official Twitter account announced that there would be two consecutive cours, with the past meeting the present, as it happened.

The first season also aired during the Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 anime seasons with no breaks in between.

Earlier in the season, the official Jujutsu Kaisen website provided an itinerary of Season 2, promising two recaps, one of Season 1 and one of the Hidden Inventory arc and the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie.

These did not count as episodes, as they were released on Crunchyroll's YouTube channel.

Therefore, following the five-episode arc of Gojo's past, the Shibuya Incident arc is 18 episodes long.

We're almost certain that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 isn't all we're getting. The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is reportedly ending soon, possibly within 2023, but there's plenty of material left to adapt.

After the Shibuya Incident, which Season 2 will cover in full, there are four more arcs to go.

Of course, we have to see exactly where Season 2 is going to stop in order to make a more informed guess.

That being said, we can envision at least two more Jujutsu Kaisen seasons if the MAPPA anime is to adapt the manga in its entirety.
