The action continues to escalate in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 as the latest episode drew strong reactions from fans. Among the many highlights in the latest Jujutsu Kaisen episode is the return of Sukuna, which heralds ominous developments in the Shibuya Incident arc.
In the previous season, Sukuna has taken over Yuji Itadori’s body at certain points, but for the most part, he has remained an inactive participant. Now though, that’s about to change as Sukuna is set to wreak havoc.

Sukuna Makes an Epic Return in Jujutsu Kaisen
Before Sukuna’s return, Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 39 (or Season 2 Episode 15) picked up right where the last one left off, with Toji Fushiguro suddenly making an appearance.
Even though Nanami, Maki, and Naobito had trouble with Dagon, Toji made quick work of the curse, thus ending the Domain.
Before everyone has time to react, Toji takes Megumi away, setting up an encounter between the father-son duo.
Soon after, Jogo appears and takes down the three remaining sorcerers. He soon senses Ryomen Sukuna and hurries to Yuji Itadori’s location.
There, it’s revealed that the Hasaba sisters fed Yuji with a finger. Jogo then takes over and feeds Yuji with 10 fingers. This results in Sukuna appearing to take over Yuji’s body.
Sukuna hears the Hasaba sisters out, but he does not grant their request. Instead, he quickly kills them in disgust.
After this, Sukuna turns his attention to Jogo, asking the curse what he wants.
Jogo replies that he simply wants Sukuna to resurrect completely. Sukuna tells Jogo that he’ll follow if Jogo can land one hit on him.

What Sukuna’s Appearance Means for Yuji and the Shibuya Incident Arc
As Yuji has already swallowed 15 fingers, it seems that Sukuna is dangerously close to taking complete control of Yuji’s body.
It remains to be seen if that will be the case. What can be said for certain is that Sukuna is now gearing up to fight Jogo.
The challenge for Jogo is that he needs to land at least one hit on the King of Curses – not an easy task given Sukuna’s power.
Fans were shocked to see the events unfold, but many are now excited to see just how powerful Sukuna is when unleashed.
Plus, it’ll be interesting to see how he’ll affect the events of the Shibuya Incident arc.
