Set against the eerie backdrop of the Shibuya Incident that unfolded on October 31, 2018.
This arc thrusts us into the heart of mindboggling sorcery as we witness the culmination of a sinister alliance between curse users and cursed spirits, masterminded by the cunning Mahito and Pseudo-Geto.
The evil duo makes their audacious move to seal the indomitable Satoru Gojo.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Shibuya Incident Timeline
Now, let's embark on our journey and step into the bustling streets of Shibuya.
In the weeks ahead, we'll be delving into the anime adaptation of the Shibuya Incident, providing you with weekly updates to keep you in the loop.
- October 31, 7:00 PM: A curtain with a radius of approximately 400 meters is drawn over Shibuya.
- October 31, 8:14 PM: Several jujutsu sorcerers are divided into teams and placed on standby.
Team Nanami (Kento Nanami, Takuma Ino, and Megumi Fushiguro) and Kiyotaka Ijichi are outside the curtain at downtown metro Shibuya Station exit 13.
The Zenin squad comprising Naobito Zenin, Maki Zenin, and Nobara Kugisaki along with Nitta are also outside the curtain at Shibuya Mark City restaurant.
The Kusakabe squad featuring Panda and Atsuya Kusakabe are at JL Shibuya Station New Station exit, which is outside the curtain.
Meanwhile, within the curtain at Bunkamura Street, ordinary citizens are trapped and causing a slight commotion, shouting for Gojo to be brought.
Also, there is a state of mild confusion inside the curtain.
- October 31, 8:31 PM: Gojo arrives at Bunkamura Street, Dogenzaka 2-Chome East.
- October 31, 8:38 PM: At Shibuya Hikarie B3F, Gojo grasps the enemy’s intentions as he witnesses the sea of civilians trapped within the curtain.
- October 31, 8:39 PM: At Aoyama cemetery, the Mei Mei squad consisting of Mei Mei, Ui Ui, and Aoi Todo encounters an equivalent curtain at Meiji Jingu-mae Station.
- October 31, 8:40 PM: At City Metro Shibuya Station B5F Shintoshin line platform, Gojo, Hanami, Jogo, and Choso begin their battle.
- October 31, 8:51 PM: Team Mei Mei arrives at the Downtown Metro Meiji Jingu-mae Station Exit 2 Side.
Later, Todo separates from the Ui Ui and Mei Mei.
- October 31, 9:03 PM: Itadori faces the grasshopper curse named Ko-Guy at Downtown Metro Meiji Jingu-mae Station B2F.
- October 31, 9:14 PM: Psuedo-Geto starts moving from Meiji Jingu-mae Station.
- October 31, 9:15 PM: Itadori, after defeating Ko-Guy, reunites with Mei Mei and Ui Ui. At City Metro Shibuya Station B5F, Geto opened the gate and Gojo was successfully sealed inside the Prison Realm.
- October 31, 9:22 PM: Nanami's team rushes in from City Metro Shibuya Station Exit 13. Meanwhile, the Zenin team moves in at the Shibuya Mark City Restaurant Avenue Entrance. Elsewhere, Kusakabe and Panda arrive at JL Shibuya Station New South Exit.
- October 31, 9:26 PM: At City Metro Shibuya Station B5F platform, a single mini Mechamaru senses that Geto and the others are unable to move the Prison Realm. Later, the mini Mechamaru is destroyed by Mahito.
- October 31, 9:27 PM: Mini Mechamaru informs Itadori that Geto, Mahito, and the others cannot move the Prison Realm.
- Unknown Time: Itadori yells at the top of his voice and transmits the message that Gojo has been sealed. Upon hearing Itadori's voice, the Nanami squad soon joined forces with him. Meanwhile, Itadori, Fushiguro, and Ino are entrusted to lift the veil that is keeping the sorcerers out. Nanami heads to Ijichi's place due to a request that only a Grade 1 can pass through.
- October 31, 10:01 PM: At Shibuya's Cerulean Tower, Itadori, Fushiguro, and Ino discover three curse users guarding the veil. Itadori and Fushiguro engage in a battle with Jiro Awasaka, while Ino engages with Ogami and her grandson.
- October 31, 10:02 PM: At Downtown Meiji Jingumae and Shibuya Station, Mei Mei and Ui Ui defeat curse user and serial killer Niji Ebina.
- October 31, 10:04 PM: At Metropolitan Expressway Route 3 Shibuya Line, in front of Cerulean Tower, Itadori and Fushiguro lift the barrier that excludes the sorcerers.
- October 31, 10:10 PM: Itadori enters Shibuya Station, and shortly after, he encounters a fugitive.
- October 31, 10:20 PM: At Inokashira Line, Shibuya Station, Avenue Exit, Nanami reunites with Maki and Naobito. He informs the two about Gojo's sealing. Shortly thereafter, at the pedestrian walkway in Shibuya Station, Nanami encounters Dagon and the battle begins.
- October 31, 10:20 PM: At Shibuya Station Overpass, Maki, Nanami, and Naobito are drawn into Dagon's Domain, but thanks to Megumi's intervention and then Toji's involvement, Dagon is exorcised. Then, Toji selects Megumi as the next target and takes him away.
- October 31, 10:20 PM: At Shibuya Station Connection Passage, Nanami, Maki, and Naobito are suddenly unable to fight.
- October 31, 10:20 PM: After being defeated by Sukuna, Itadori loses consciousness. Itadori is then given Sukuna's fingers and the latter takes control of Itadori's body.
- October 31, 10:51 PM: At Shuta Expressway No. 3 Shibuya Line, Shoko Ieiri is put on standby.
- October 31, 10:51 PM: Sukuna and Jogo engage in a battle at various locations in Shibuya.
- October 31, 11:01 PM: In front of Shibuya Stream, Panda and Kusakabe are exploring the surroundings. Later, the duo encounters Manami Suda and Toshihisa Negi.
- October 31, 11:01 PM: Jogo could not survive before the overwhelming strength of Sukuna.
- October 31, 11:05 PM: In front of Shibuya 109, Dougenzaka, Megumi, who is battered from the battle with Jogo, is attacked from behind.
- October 31, 11:07 PM: Megumi summons Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga as Haruta Shigemo watches the horrific ritual.
Meanwhile, Sukuna expands his domain and emerges victorious against Mahoraga.
At this moment, a large number of ordinary people become involved as collateral damage. - October 31, 11:14 PM: Itadori finally takes control of his body and awakens to witness a gruesome situation.
- October 31, 11:14 PM: At Shoto Bunkamura Street, Nobara Kugisaki leaves behind Akari Nitta, who is being rescued.
- October 31, 11:16 PM: In the alley, Kugisaki encounters Mahito's double, and the battle begins.
- October 31, 11:16 PM: Inside Shibuya Station, despite being seriously wounded, Nanami, in a dazed state, kills a large number of transfigured humans. However, he collapses when Mahito confronts him. Witnessing this, Itadori begins a battle against Mahito.
- October 31, 11:19 PM: The battle between Itadori and Mahito heats up.
- October 31, 11:19 PM: Itadori witnesses Kugisaki getting defeated by Mahito right before his eyes.
- October 31, 11:19 PM: Todo rushes to assist Itadori, who is in a dire situation. Arriving simultaneously, Arata Nitta tries to treat Kugisaki and Itadori using jujutsu techniques. Todo then encourages Itadori to continue the battle.
- October 31, 11:19 PM: Todo creates an opening for Itadori, who delivers a decisive Black Flash, defeating Mahito.
