A few months ago, we learned the exciting news that The Last of Us and The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal is in talks to play the MCU's Reed Richards in the highly-anticipated Fantastic Four reboot.

However, since then, we haven't heard any confirmation on whether the actor has officially signed on for the role. The actor has also not commented yet on his reported MCU casting.

Now, it looks like we may have the confirmation that we've been waiting for on Pascal's potential casting as the leader of Marvel's First Family.

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation page revealed that Pedro Pascal is set to begin production soon on Fantastic Four, seemingly confirming the actor's reported casting in the MCU project.

While Marvel Studios and Pascal's team remain mum on his involvement in the MCU, this is another sign that the actor has likely already signed on to join the franchise and play Reed Richards.

Some time ago, it was reported that Pascal recently exited another project to clear his schedule for Fantastic Four, which will reportedly begin filming around Q3 of this year.

Now, thanks to the information coming from the actors' guild, we seemingly have a confirmation that Pascal is officially the MCU's Reed Richards and it is perhaps just a matter of time before we'll hear a word about the other actors who will play the rest of the First Family.

The actor is set to have a busy schedule this year not only because of Fantastic Four, but he is about to begin filming the second season of The Last of Us. However, considering what happened to his character in the video game, his commitment might be shorter this time around.

With Pascal's casting potentially set in stone now, fans are now looking forward to hearing which actors have been cast to play Sue Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm.

There have already been rumors for a long time regarding the other actors that Marvel Studios has allegedly cast to play the other members, but we should wait and see for now which more names we'll hear from the official reports in the coming weeks or months.

Fantastic Four is slated for release in theaters on May 2, 2025.
