In case you didn’t know, Jewerly Bonney is still a very young girl who only appears older due to the powers of her devil fruit called Age-Age Fruit, or Toshi Toshi no Mi in Japanese.

It gives Bonney the power to manipulate any individual’s age, including her own. She can also do it with objects.

She has no problem turning anyone into a child, an adolescent, or even a feeble old person. She even used this power on the Marines who were trying to come after her on Egghead Island.

Those years Bonney stole from her targets manifested in the form of sparkling jewels and shapes.

However, the aging process is only temporary. Bonney’s targets can revert to their original age at some point, but there’s no exact timer on her devil fruit ability.

One of the downsides of Bonney’s devil fruit ability is that she is prone to emotional outbursts that can manipulate her age and those near her in just one tantrum.

To this day, it is unknown how Bonney ate her devil fruit. As Bartholomew Kuma’s past unfolds in the latest chapters of One Piece, Bonney is shown using her devil fruit abilities out of nowhere.

She even looked like Conney, the Queen Dowager of Sorbet Kingdom, after manipulating her age to her older self.

The first ever record of Bonney using Distorted Future is when she faced the World Noble agent, Alpha, who disguised herself as Bonney’s nurse during her rehabilitation and treatment in Sorbet Kingdom.

After discovering that Alpha is a cipher pol agent, Conney and Bonney team up to defeat her.

While Conney disguised herself as Bonney, the latter headed out to the pirate ship Gyogyo, Tetsu, and Poteto created to let her escape.

That’s when Alpha realized the switch, and she tried to stop Bonney from escaping. However, Bonney used Distorted Future for the very first time to turn herself into the Sun God Nika, whom she visualized in her head.

We then see Bonney transformed into a familiar form that resembles Luffy’s Geard 3rd. She punched Alpha in the face, and she successfully escaped.

The next time we saw Bonney using Distorted Future was when she attacked Dr. Vegapunk at his own laboratory on Egghead Island.

She was so mad at Dr. Vegapunk for taking Kuma’s free will and sense of individuality that she took the form of a buccaneer (possibly) to kill him.

A lot of fans are now hyping Bonney’s devil fruit powers because of her recent transformation, based on the spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1101.

They believe that Bonney can transform into anyone she wants as long as she can visualize it, thanks to her devil fruit abilities. We saw her transform into Nika, and we also saw her take on the form of a buccaneer.

If this is the case, the possibilities are endless with Bonney’s Distorted Future attack. She can turn into any character from any timeline, which means her devil fruit powers are extremely overpowered!

Interestingly, it seems like the concept behind Bonney’s Distorted Future stems from how adults tell children to become anything they want in the future. Bonney is still a young girl who has big dreams, so it makes sense.

Due to the mystery surrounding Distorted Future, fans even arrive at the theory that she can become Nico Robin or any other scholar of Ohara who will be capable of reading Poneglyphs.

If so, Bonney would be a leading contender in finding the One Piece treasure.

Meanwhile, some believe that the idea of the Distorted Future came from the time Eiichiro Oda drew Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates in their older form at One Piece Volume SBS.
