Long gone are the days when only male heroes such as Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor led and dominated the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Since the MCU's inception in 2008, there have been plenty of female characters who have proven that they can hang even with the most menacing foes.
And no, this isn't simply pertaining to one of the most controversial scenes in Avengers: Endgame where the female heroes (simply referred to as the A-Force) gathered in one frame to protect one another and show just how badass they can be.
Without further ado, here's a list of the strongest female Marvel heroes so far in the MCU run!
Valkyrie
As a part of the group of Asgardian warriors, the Valkyries, Valkyrie’s lifetime worth of training and fighting rendered her practically an unstoppable hunting machine.
Let’s not forget how she even managed to come up against Hela, the Goddess of death, after having been the last of the survivors of their kind from the initial war.
Ms. Marvel
Kamala Khan has always been Captain Marvel’s biggest fan, as seen during her limited series run in Ms. Marvel.
Sporting the blue, red, and gold-colored suit along with the magic bangles she inherited from her family, Kamala transformed into Ms. Marvel, whose powers mysteriously connect with Carol Danvers’ and Monica Rambeau’s in the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels.

Monica Rambeau
As a part of the three-member Captain Marvel team, Monica Rambeau holds an important position in being another one of the strongest female heroes in the MCU.
Thanks to her exposure to Wanda’s magic inside her energy field, Monica’s molecular levels were greatly affected, which brought her powers of being able to phrase through physical matter or any interaction she could have with various forms of energy.
However, we have yet to see her fully in action, that is, until she returns in The Marvels as the aforementioned hero working alongside Carol and Kamala.
Mighty ‘Lady’ Thor / Jane Foster
One of the biggest surprises that Thor: Love and Thunder beheld for the MCU was their Lady Thor entry aka Jane Foster, who was worthy of wielding Thor’s original hammer, Mjolnir, at her will.
Considering that Jane gaining power over Mjolnir fixed the shattered hammer back into its original form, she was able to utilize each and every superpower Thor wielded, including summoning the hammer at will and controlling the weather.
America Chavez
America Chavez is a lot more grown in Marvel Comics than in her live-action debut (from the portrayal of Xochitl Gomez), however, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness marks the beginning of her journey to becoming one of the most powerful and youngest MCU heroes.
The Ancient One
Before Doctor Strange inherited the powers and title worthy of being called the Sorcerer Supreme, The Ancient One was the most powerful member of the Masters of the Mystic Arts, which explains why she was also their most trusted leader.
It was thanks to The Ancient One that Doctor Strange discovered and understood the existence and meaning of Marvel’s Multiverse altogether.
The Ancient One could not only manipulate the dimensions and realities they entered but also miraculously heal the patients whose injuries were far beyond help from the city hospitals.

Everyone knows that nothing is more powerful than wielding the powers of the cosmic universe, which is exactly what Carol Danvers’ Captain Marvel has been using this entire time.
Thanks to the explosion of the Psyche/Magnitron engine, it activated Carol’s half-Kree/half-human powers that came from the Tesseract, making her one of the most indestructible heroes in the MCU.
G’iah
The most overpowered female hero recently made her debut on the small screens, specifically in Secret Invasion.
Right after gaining the power of the Super Skrulls, Nick Fury entrusted G’iah to intake the Harvest, aka the Avengers’ DNA, which granted her the powers of the strongest Avengers in her blood, including the Hulk’s, Groot’s, and even Captain Marvel’s.
The Scarlet Witch
Although Wanda Maximoff's Scarlet Witch has been one of the most confusing Is-she-a-villain-or-hero types in the MCU, you've gotta admit, her powers exceeded much of our expectations on just how powerful she really is.
Remember, she ended up enslaving the entire town of Westview just so she could live her fantasies of having a family to raise with Vision when he died.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness exhibited the strongest evidence that proves how much of our reality Wanda could manipulate at her fingertips. Of course, at the time, she was already seen as the villain of the story.
