Anime Expo 2023 is still ongoing, but there have already been lots of big reveals. Though there is one that likely no one expected, and that is the surprise Spy x Family and Street Fighter 6 collab.
This unlikely crossover was revealed during the TOHO animation panel at Anime Expo 2023. It was unveiled via a special visual that features popular characters from the two titles.
While not a lot of details have been revealed about the crossover, it is confirmed that the collab is made to promote the upcoming Spy x Family movie.
Spy x Family Promotes New Movie With Surprise Street Fighter 6 Crossover
Spy x Family was one of the biggest anime hits of 2022, so it’s not surprising to see it get a range of collaborations. Though this Street Fighter 6 crossover is definitely the most out-of-nowhere team-up.
This collab was announced via a special illustration that’s drawn by Chisato Mita of Capcom.
It features Yor Forger in her Thorn Princess outfit as she goes up against Chun-Li.

Along with Yor and Chun-Li, the illustration also features other characters from both titles at the bottom.
Eagerly watching the showdown are Loid, Anya, and Bond from Spy x Family; as well as Li-Fen and Ryu from Street Fighter 6.
While the visual confirms that this collab is for the upcoming Spy x Family Code: White movie, there are no further details yet about the collab, though fans already have an idea of what to expect.

Street Fighter Fans Are Hoping to Get a Yor Forger Costume for Chun-Li
Following the collab’s reveal, fans on the Street Fighter subreddit shared their thoughts about what the collab will likely feature.
Many fans believe that the collab will add Spy x Family outfits to the latest Street Fighter game.
Fans are hoping that characters such as Chun-Li and Cammy get Spy x Family-inspired looks.
Some are even hoping that Yor will be added to the game. After all, guest characters from other franchises are quite common in fighting games.
For instance, The Walking Dead's Negan was added to Tekken a few years ago.
But chances aren’t high that this will happen. This is because, unlike many other fighting game franchises, Street Fighter doesn’t have a history of adding guest characters.
The Spy x Family movie will be released in Japan later this year. Given this, you can expect more details about this new collab to be revealed in the coming weeks or months.
