It’s still half a year before the movie is released, but recently, the Spy x Family anime movie got a new visual along with an official synopsis that gives fans more info on what to expect.
The movie is an exciting anime project for manga readers as, unlike the TV anime, it will feature an all-new original story.
While the story won’t be in the manga, it will still be written by series creator Tatsuya Endo.
What’s also exciting about it is that the story will center around cooking, ensuring more hilarious hijinks for the Forger family.
Spy x Family Code: White Cooking-Themed Synopsis
Previously, anime movies are usually original, as is the case with Dragon Ball and One Piece films. Though there has been a recent trend of canon anime films such as Demon Slayer: Mugen Train and Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
Spy x Family brings back the classic trend of having original stories for its movie, though its canon status is not yet known. But there’s a chance that it will be canon given that Tatsuya Endo will write it.
As for the story itself, the movie Spy x Family Code: White will begin with Anya who is attending a cooking class, with a rumor suggesting that the top student in the class will get a Stella.
To show progress in Operation Strix, Loid decides that Anya should get a Stella in the cooking class, so he suggests that she make a traditional pastry from the Frigis region that’s a favorite of the school principal.
Thus, the Forger family takes a trip to the Frigis region to learn more about the traditional pastry. But as expected, things do not go as planned.

Spy x Family Original Anime Movie Gets New Visual
While we still have to wait a bit longer for the movie’s trailer, the Spy x Family film’s synopsis and new key visual give fans a better idea of what to expect.
The new visual for the film was shared on the official Spy x Family Twitter account, and it features Loid, Yor, and Anya in new winter outfits as they go on a family trip.
Spy x Family Code: White will be released in Japanese cinemas on December 22, 2023.
The film is also expected to release in other countries, though there’s no release date yet outside Japan.
Before the film’s release, fans will be treated to the premiere of Season 2 which happens in October 2023.
