After the season’s first cour, My Hero Academia Season 6 is now on a new arc, and it introduced a new character that’s surprisingly voiced by Spy x Family’s Anya Forger voice actress.
The new cast member announcement was made via the show’s official Twitter account.
There, it revealed that Anya VA Atsumi Tanezaki is joining My Hero Academia in a role that many fans likely did not expect.
Atsumi Tanezaki: Anya Forger’s Voice Actress
Atsumi Tanezaki is a prolific voice actress who has voiced numerous popular characters from a wide range of anime. Though she is perhaps best known for being the voice of Anya Forger in Spy x Family.
Tanezaki gained renown for her work as Anya last year, with many fans praising how well she brought the pink-haired telepath to life.
Many were impressed with how well she was able to voice such a kid with a lot of range.
Her role of Anya is unique given how, unlike other voice actors, she hasn’t been typecast into child roles.
For instance, many anime fans also know her for voicing Rio Futaba in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.
She also voiced other characters that are far from Anya’s voice, including Vivy, the main character of Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song. Tanezaki also voiced another lead character in Chise Hatori from The Ancient Magus' Bride.
Her latest role is in My Hero Academia as the major villain of the next arc.

Tanezaki Joins the My Hero Academia Voice Cast
Anya voice actress Tanezaki is the voice of Lady Nagant in My Hero Academia Season 6. Nagant is a villain with an interesting power and she will play a big role in the upcoming arc of the anime.
In the series’ latest episode, Lady Nagant made her first appearance as she was shown along with many other villains that were broken out of the Tartarus prison in the ongoing Tartarus Escapees arc.
While she likely won’t be a big player in the next episode, manga readers know that she will play a major role in the latter part of the arc.
At this point, we are pretty much guaranteed to see her big moment in the sixth season’s second cour.
