As the hype for the show continues to get bigger, a new Chainsaw Man anime advertisement was put up in Shinjuku that revealed brand-new footage.

This new ad can be found at Shinjuku Station in Tokyo, and it features a trailer that highlights the show’s opening.

While it may seem like a simple recut of the main trailer, a closer look shows never-before-seen footage.

For those not in Japan, a video of the ad was shared via the official Chainsaw Man Twitter account. You can check it out here:

Like the latest trailer released last week, this ad highlights the opening song “KICK BACK” by Kenshi Yonezu, a popular Japanese singer who is also known for performing the second opening song for My Hero Academia.

The recent trailer also revealed more members of the voice cast, including the voice actors for Kishibe, Himeno, Kobeni, and Arai.

Chainsaw Man is one of the most anticipated anime of Fall 2022 as it is based on the hit manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto.

The manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to December 2020, and it continued with Part 2 on Jump+.

While Shonen Jump series typically become more popular after getting anime adaptations, Chainsaw Man quickly became a runaway hit even without an anime.

Aside from getting high volume sales, the debut of Part 2 got over 3 million views in under 24 hours in Japan alone.

In case you’re unfamiliar, the series follows Denji, a teenager who finds himself stuck in debt after his father passed away.

He is then forced to repay his father’s debt by the yakuza, though he is soon betrayed and left to die.

Denji survives when his pet named Pochita fuses with him and transforms him into a powerful chainsaw devil hybrid. This leads to Denji being recruited by the Japanese government to become a Devil Hunter.

At first glance, the Shinjuku ad looks the same as the latest trailer, but it features new footage featuring Denji and Makima, as well as longer cuts of certain scenes. Scenes of Pochita walking are also noteworthy additions.

Before being shared on the official Twitter, fans have already spotted and shared the ad online.

While fans noted that the gory parts weren’t included in the trailer given the public setting, they were excited to see the new Chainsaw Man anime footage, especially the new Pochita scenes.

Chainsaw Man is set to release on October 11, 2022.
