While Secret Invasion is technically a miniseries, when has six episodes ever been enough for any viewers? Is there a potential Secret Invasion Season 2 in the works?
Marvel Phase Five has finally pushed forward, releasing Secret Invasion as the new saga’s first Disney Plus series this year.
As Nick Fury lands back on Earth after much time spent in space with other Skrull refugees, things aren’t quite the same as the last time he was here. With the Skrulls slowly infiltrating Earth, who could you trust?

Have Disney and Marvel Renewed Secret Invasion For Season 2?
As of writing, Disney and Marvel Studios have not yet explicitly confirmed that Secret Invasion Season 2 will be pushing forward.
Besides, Secret Invasion still has three episodes left to finish the series, so nothing is coming onto what Season 2 could possibly depict.
However, Secret Invasion director Ali Selim previously shared with SFX Magazine his support on a Season 2 potentially happening for the Disney Plus series:
“When [Secret Invasion] ends, I hope you feel satiated and complete. And as Marvel does so excellently, you also feel like, ‘Oh, it could go in this direction.’ Nick Fury is alive and continues to battle, I don’t think that’s a spoiler alert. And there are some characters that are no longer with us and some characters that live to see another challenge. I would love to see that challenge become Season 2.”
Do take Loki in considering the possibility for Secret Invasion in getting renewed for a Season 2.
Loki also had six 40-50 minute episodes and still got room for a Season 2 story, so Secret Invasion could follow the same footsteps if Marvel makes their move.
If Secret Invasion Season 2 does move forward, though, it won't be any sooner than perhaps between 2025-2026.

Possible Secret Invasion Season 2 Cast: Who Could Return in Season 2?
Secret Invasion lost plenty of major characters: we have lost Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), Pagon (Killian Scott), and Talos (Ben Mendelsohn).
Additionally, since G'iah (Emilia Clarke) was able to defeat and kill Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir) in Secret Invasion Episode 6, that also eliminates the main villain of the story.
Although Secret Invasion Season 2 is looking pretty thin, especially when The Marvels has been reportedly confirmed to be directly connected to the events of the MCU series, here's a complete list of who else dies in the series, which means the major characters likely to return for Secret Invasion Season 2 are as follows:

- Charlayne Woodard as Priscilla Fury
- Olivia Colman as Sonya Falsworth
- Kingsley Ben-Adir as Gravik
- Don Cheadle as James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes
- Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross
- Dermot Mulroney as President Ritson

Possible Secret Invasion Season 2 Story: Who Will Earth Belong To?
Secret Invasion, like many other MCU films and series, is based on its Marvel Comics bearing the same title. The series’ comics series consists of eight issues for the limited series as well as several tie-in books under Marvel Comics.
The most basic plotline of Secret Invasion is the Skrulls taking over the earth right from under the Avengers’ noses, which is exactly what happens in the MCU series, but with kinks and tweaks so that the series could flow smoothly in the MCU timeline.
Six episodes is honestly far too short in resolving a massive story such as a world domination by the shapeshifting creatures, but Secret Invasion managed to do exactly that.
Secret Invasion ends with G'iah defeating Gravik, which freed the Skrulls and their hostages of the human counterparts they used as disguise on earth, Nick Fury defending their last hope, President Ritson (Dermot Mulroney), from getting taken by the Skrulls, along with the President declaring war against the invaders.
While Fury tried to reason with the President in reassuring not all Skrulls had evil intentions, the President was having a fit after nearly losing his life to Skrull Rhodey, from one of the men he trusted to be human.
In the end, though we didn't get to see if every single Skrull living on the planet had indeed left earth, Nick Fury's last moments with his wife to tell her the news of the Kree declaring peace with the Skrulls could mean the green-skinned shapeshifters are about to find their new home, outside planet earth.
This would, of course, lead to the events of what would be transpiring in The Marvels.

A Secret Invasion Season 2 is looking pretty thin as of writing, especially when there's really no more 'secret invasion' on earth.
Unless Marvel comes up with another Skrull plot that would come from the Marvel Comic Books they've yet to explore.

Unfortunately, since Secret Invasion Season 2 has not yet been confirmed, expect no trailers, teaser trailers, or first looks for the potential second season.
