The Jujutsu Kaisen anime’s ongoing Shibuya Incident arc is all about heartbreaks and fan-favorite characters going out of the storyline.

From Satoru Gojo’s sealing to Kento Nanami’s agonizing death at the hands of Mahito, the Shibuya Incident arc is an emotional rollercoaster.

And if Kento's devastating death was not all, Gege Akutami was ready to deliver more pain.

Manga readers, like myself, saw Nobara’s death coming from a distance. I dreaded watching Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 19 because I knew where it was heading.

Sadly, it delivered spectacularly in terms of the animation, the flow of the episode, and Nobara’s intensity as she battled against Mahito’s double.

In the battle against Mahito, Yuji, and Nobara faced a critical moment when Mahito touched her eye, leading to her painful death.

Just before her death, Nobara looked at Yuji and uttered her final words that she led a “pretty good life.”

Between her death and her final words, we get a glimpse into Nobara’s backstory, which is wholesome.

We were introduced to Nobara back in 2009 as she was seen playing Smash Bros.

One of her childhood friends was Fumi, who was shown enthusiastically cheering Nobara as she played the video game.

Later, at the elementary school, Nobara asked Fumi to trade her backpack. It was a beautiful scene that cemented the bond between Fumi and Nobara.

The flashback also showed Nobara’s secret base that she introduced to Fumi.

But upon reaching the secret base, Fumi discovered that it was actually someone’s house and that that someone was Saori.

Soon, Saori, Fumi, and Nobara started hanging out. Nobara was particularly fond of Saori, and she howled when Saori left the village and moved out.

Meanwhile, the most beautiful scene for me was Fumi bidding farewell to Nobara when the latter was set to start high school in Tokyo.

The scene was tender and showed Nobara’s gentle side toward Fumi, it was a heartwarming watch.

Nobara and her seat analogy played a key role for her as she was quite picky about choosing the people who stayed with her in her life.

In the episode, Nobara got a glimpse of all the people who came into her life unexpectedly.

The scene was brimming with foreshadowing and metaphors creating a beautiful moment and all this made Nobara's departure from Jujutsu Kaisen extremely painful.
