Nobara Kugisaki is one of the prominent protagonists in Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen. Akutami is known for taking away fan-favorite characters through various methods such as death and sealing, and unfortunately, Nobara is one of them. So, who killed Nobara in Jujutsu Kaisen?

Who Killed Nobara?
Mahito is the one who killed Nobara in Jujutsu Kaisen. Following Kento Nanami’s brutal killing at the hands of Mahito, Yuji Itadori, who is filled with rage, attacks Mahito.
Elsewhere, Nobara confronts a clone of Mahito that he created to find Itadori during his fight with Jogo. Nobara identifies Mahito as the patch-face curse adept at escaping.
Intrigued by her confidence, Mahito is ready for a battle, eager to earn a meaningful victory.
Despite feeling unsatisfied with her contributions to the Shibuya Incident thus far, Nobara gears up for the impending battle.
However, as the battle progresses, Nobara gets a fair idea that her opponent is tough, and she cannot defeat him by herself.
At the same time, Itadori engages in a fierce battle against Mahito. At one point in the ongoing battles, Mahito and his clone cross paths in the Shibuya Station.
Nobara enters the station from the opposite side of Itadori, and in the middle, they see Mahito and his clone.
Itadori senses Mahito’s evil plan, but it is too late. He shouts at Nobara, but Mahito’s real body creates a blind spot.
Nobara has her guard down and doesn’t notice the switch between Mahito and the clone.
Finally, Mahito launches his Idle Transfiguration move and hits Nobara’s face.
Nobara touches her face as it starts to transfigure and swell. Before Itadori could do something, her face splits open.
Her blood splashes onto Itadori, who watches in terror as one of his closest friends collapses, seemingly dying right before his eyes.
Why Was Nobara Killed in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Mahito is pure evil, and he is aware that Nobara and Itadori are close to each other.
He realizes that causing Nobara’s death would send Itadori down into a profound abyss of despair.
Devastated by Nanami’s death, defeated by Choso, overwhelmed by Sukuna’s rampage, and having witnessed Nobara’s seeming death puts Itadori on the edge.
He completely breaks down, and the pain becomes too unbearable for him.
Itadori’s mental strength hits the lowest point as he trembles next to Nobara’s lifeless body.
Mahito, having succeeded in his plan, expresses pride in his actions, praising his own power, and embracing his identity as a true curse.
