Without a doubt, Moving is one of the hottest K-dramas to hit Disney+ this year. Because of its success, many wonder if there will be a Moving season 2. Here's what we know so far.

What Is Moving K-Drama Story About?

Moving is a touching K-drama series in the fantasy genre. It was adapted from a webtoon created by Kang Full. Despite being a tearjerker, the series has some intense fight scenes that are not recommended for young kids.

On its drama side, however, the show is two-fold. It highlights the struggles and fears that every parent goes through when raising a child. At the same time, it exposes how these fears affect and often hold back their kids.

There are three sets of main characters: the teenagers who start to discover their powers and their solo parents who have gone into hiding since then.

When retired heroes start being assassinated, and the murders get covered up, the three main heroes can't help but worry about their children's safety. They must look into the murders and protect their families at all costs.

The fantasy K-drama is an original Disney+ series directed by Park In-je.

All the episodes of Moving have been released. There were a total of 20 episodes in the first season.

Given the show's success and popularity, many fans are already clamoring for a second season.

Unfortunately, there has not been an official announcement on whether there will be a second season of Moving. We'll have to keep waiting for an official statement from Disney+.

If Moving gets a second season, we're already looking forward to what its story will be about. Although we had a happy ending for the main characters, there were some things that the finale teased its viewers with.

For starters, there's the new character that the post-credit introduced us to: Elias. We also learned that Frank (played by Ryoo Seung-bum) survived his fight against Jang Ju-won (played by Ryu Seung-ryong). We weren't really surprised, after all, he had regenerative powers too.

But now that we encounter Elias, a former companion of his who was also trained as an assassin, we want to know more. Some say Elias is Frank's twin brother, but we don't know this for sure yet.

Then there's the whole new character that was casually mentioned: Kim Shin-jo. There was no clip of him so we don't know who will play him in the series.

But as mentioned, Shin-jo was the first gifted agent who came to South Korea for a mission. Kim Doo-sik (played by Zo In-sung) was then assigned to take revenge against the damage Shin-jo did.

We don't know what this is but we're thinking it's something related to the war between the two nations.

We'd also like to see more of the characters who were teased in the first season. Among these include the mysterious Shin Hye-won (played by Shim Dal-gi), Yang Se-eun (played by Lee Ho-jung) who faked her death, and Kim Young-tak, a student with the ability to stop time.

Moving Season 2: Why Do We Need One?

We need answers and we can't wait for Disney+ to renew the show for another season. Here are some of the reasons why Moving Season 2 needs to happen:

  • Who is Kim Young-tak and what happened to him after leaving the school? He is also rumored to be portrayed by Yoo Seung-ho.
  • Why did Yang Se-eun fake her death? Viewers found her attending her mother's funeral.
  • Is Bang Ki-soo (played by Shin Jae-hwi) the little boy who Gang-hoon grew up with? If so, can he talk to animals?
  • Why did Beong-seok and Mi-hyun have to leave their town? Does Mi-hyun and Doo-sik know that Beong-seok is out saving people?
  • What changes will be implemented now that Ma Sang-gu (played by Park Byung-eun) is the director of the NIS?
  • We need more of Mi-hyun and Doo-sik's reunion! This is reason enough.

Who Can We Expect to Join Moving Season 2?

One of the reasons behind Moving's success is the powerful cast lineup that brought life to the characters. While several characters died in the first season, their characters may be brought back in a flashback scene in season 2.

If ever the show gets renewed for a second season, we might expect the following main characters to return:

  • Ryu Seung-ryong as Jang Ju-won
  • Han Hyo-joo as Lee Mi-hyun
  • Zo In-sung as Kim Doo-sik
  • Go Youn-jung as Jang Hui-soo
  • Lee Jung-ha as Kim Bong-seok
  • Kim Do-hoon as Lee Kang-hoon
  • Kim Sung-kyun as Lee Jae-man

Spoiler alert! The end credit of the show revealed that Frank (played by Ryoo Seung-bum) is still alive and will be returning. We'll be seeing more of his character arc in the show and know the mystery of Elias.

We'll have to wait until an official confirmation from Disney+ is made regarding the show's future. But we're so hoping it's a yes!
