To celebrate the show’s long-awaited premiere, Jujutsu Kaisen Shoko Ieiri VA was interviewed by Animate Times, and she mentioned that she hates a character that’s beloved among many fans.

After the first season ended in 2021, fans have long been waiting for the show’s return.

Finally, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 began with its first episode, which delighted fans with its anime-original scenes.

As revealed as early as last year, the second season starts with the Hidden Inventory Arc, which follows a younger Gojo and Geto years before the show’s present time.

Gojo and Geto are the central characters of the new Jujutsu Kaisen arc, but they’re not the only ones here.

Alongside them are characters that have appeared in the first season, including the likes of Mei Mei and Utahime.

Also in the first episode is Shoko Ieiri, the doctor of Tokyo’s Jujutsu High. But given that this arc is set years before the first season’s events, Shoko is shown as part of Gojo and Geto's team.

At this time, Shoko can be seen as the Nobara of the group. And in Episode 1, it’s also shown that Utahime is quite close to her.

Aya Endo voiced Shoko in the first season, and she returns for Season 2 to voice the younger version of her character.

When asked about her experience voicing the younger Shoko, Endo said that the recording for the second season was fun, especially as she was able to record alongside her fellow cast members.

Endo also noted that her approach to voicing Shoko is a bit different as she was mindful of her character’s way of speaking as a teen given that her temperament is different.

Along with her thoughts on Shoko, Endo also mentioned the character that she hates as well as the one she loves the most.

Despite being a favorite among many fans, Endo said that she hates Toji Fushiguro.

While she said that Toji looks cool, she just doesn’t like his attitude in the season.

On the flip side, Endo said that instead of her favorite being Shoko, the character that she loves the most is actually Maki Zenin.

This is because of her interesting past which she believes can be relatable for a lot of viewers.

New episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 are released every week on Crunchyroll in the US, though the show will get a multi-week delay in August.
