Reporter Jeff Sneider revealed in The Hot Mic podcast that Oscar-nominated actress Vanessa Kirby has been cast to play Sue Storm in the MCU's Fantastic Four. Her casting in the film has been rumored for the past several weeks.

So far, neither Marvel Studios nor Kirby's representatives have commented on the report. Sneider noted that the casting was done prior to the stroke.

The Oscar-nominated actress, who was recently seen in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, was asked about her rumored casting in the MCU in an interview prior to the current actors' strike where she simply responded, "It would be an honour."

Sneider also shared more scoops surrounding the Fantastic Four casting where he suggested that The Boys star Jack Quaid is currently the top choice to play Johnny Storm. However, another source that contacted him during the podcast shot down the scoop.

Later on, he corrected that the rumored actor might actually be Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn, who is one of the popular fancast in the role.

In terms of the Reed Richards casting, he claimed that Marvel Studios has not found the actor yet and they are currently in talks with a "movie star." He also shot down the rumors that Matt Smith is being cast to play the character.

For the role of Ben Grimm/The Thing, Sneider reported that Marvel Studios is searching for a "fat white guy." As for Galactus, they are looking for a Latino to cast in the role.

Lastly, he reported that The Bear star Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who was rumored to play The Thing, has been cast in the film although for a different character that is not part of the First Family.
