Ever since Marvel Studios fired Jonathan Majors as the MCU's Kang the Conqueror following his guilty verdict last month, fans have been wondering about what's next for the character in the rest of the Multiverse Saga.

So far, the studio has not announced any plans to recast the role with a different actor or pivot to another character as the big baddie of the saga with Doctor Doom rumored to be the replacement.

The fifth Avengers movie, which was originally named Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, was also retitled back to Avengers 5 which suggests that Marvel Studios is now taking a new direction for both the character and the saga in the aftermath of Majors' firing.

Now, a new rumor has emerged surrounding the potential replacement actor for the villain in the future of the MCU.

According to insider Daniel Richtman (via ComicBook.com), Marvel Studios is eyeing Euphoria and Fear the Walking Dead star Colman Domingo to potentially take over the role of Kang the Conqueror in the rest of the Multiverse Saga.

So far, the studio has not commented on or confirmed the rumor yet.

The report comes as Domingo is currently getting Oscar buzz for his performances in Rustin and The Color Purple. He also won an Emmy Award for his recurring role in Euphoria.

In an interview with AwardsWatch back in 2021, the actor expressed his interest in playing a villain in either the Marvel or DC franchise.

"When it comes to Marvel and DC, I think I’m ready now. I’m worked out, fit... I just want to be the villain. I don’t want to be the good guy. I actually want to do some really dirty, nasty work," he said.

If Marvel decides to continue Kang's storyline and recast the role with a different actor, Domingo could be a terrific choice as we've seen in his film and TV performances in the last several years.

It helps that he is also willing to play a villain and we know that he could bring some depth and gravitas to the role if he ends up getting cast in the role.

For now, let's wait and see how it will all unfold in the coming weeks or months, but some fans have already expressed their support for the actor's potential casting in the MCU.
