Yesterday, Jonathan Majors was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari after a Manhattan jury found him guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment.

The Loki actor also got acquitted on two other counts as the jury also found him not guilty on one count of intentional assault in the third degree and one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree.

According to Variety, a sentencing date has been set for February 6 where the actor could face up to a year in jail or be sentenced to probation.

Majors was arrested last March after he assaulted Jabbari in the backseat of a private vehicle which resulted in bruising, swelling, and substantial pain. Jabbari testified that it happened after she grabbed his phone when she saw him receiving a text message from another woman.

Following the guilty verdict, Marvel Studios officially fired Majors. He is no longer going to be involved in any future MCU projects.

The actor played Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and the character's variants He Who Remains and Victor Timely in Loki.

He was supposed to be the main big baddie of the Multiverse Saga and star in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which will be the first part of the culminating event.

After the former MCU actor's arrest last March and the legal battle that ensued, there have been speculations about his future in the franchise and whether he will be fired. In the end, Marvel opted to wait for the verdict before they made an official announcement on the actor's firing.

It is unknown yet whether the role of Kang will be recast in future projects, but there have also been rumors that Marvel might pivot to Doctor Doom as the next big baddie instead and move on from Kang completely.

The second season finale of Loki also set a path for the MCU to disregard Kang moving forward without any continuity issues in future projects if they decide to not recast the role
