Masamune-kun’s Revenge follows Masamune Makabe in his redemption arc.
He is out to show the world—or rather, the woman who caused him pain back when he was a weak and overweight child—what he is made of.

Masamune Makabe aka Mr. Pig’s Foot
It's not every day that Masamune Makabe is referred to as Pig's Foot. Masamune's dreadful moniker haunted him all the time, when he was a child and when he was still weak and overweight.
Masamune Makabe was proud of his family's wealth back then. He has no friends since everyone thinks of him as a useless, overweight lad with deep pockets.
Because of his socially unacceptable appearance and body, he is constantly bullied and abused.
One day, he was driven into a corner by the bullies. He ran as fast as he could away from the bullies until he came to a large gate.
After becoming agitated by all the noise and bickering, a young lady stopped all of Masamune's bullies.
This young lady is Aki Adagaki, and she never contemplated helping Masamune. She released his dogs, Sean and Lancelot, to chase down all the bullies.
Since then, Masamune’s life has gotten better. He spends all of his time hanging out with Aki. He also learned how to defend himself from the bullies and take up arms.
After all, Aki despised the idea of Masamune being weak. She wants him to defend himself, especially if she isn't with him.
Masamune is still a guy who should defend a lady like Aki, not the other way around.
But all changed when Masamune revealed his romantic feelings to Aki. He was rejected by Aki in the cruelest way possible, and the two of them have since parted ways.

What Is Masamune-kun’s Revenge?
Masamune Makabe's revenge is dubbed Love or Dead Operation, and it is all about him getting even with Aki Adagaki. He wants Aki to experience the same suffering he did as a child.
Following his rejection, Masamune went to train in the mountains under the supervision of his grandfather.
He eliminated all carbohydrates from his diet and even began exercising, all while inspired by his loathing for Aki.
As expected, Masamune changed for the better. He grew into a fit and attractive man who girls would usually want to date.
It had been a hard journey, but every drop of blood, sweat, and tears Masamune shed was worth it.
Further, Masamune changed schools in order to find Aki Adagaki and exact his retribution.
But Masamune had no idea how difficult it would be to deal with her.
Aki, like Masamune, has grown up. Aki has gotten more anti-male, and there's no telling what she'd do to someone like him.
That is why Masamune devised the Love or Dead operation. He intends to approach Aki and make her fall in love with him in the process.
If everything goes well for Masamune, he will reject Aki and leave her behind.
Moreover, Masamune sought the help of Aki's servant, Yoshino Koiwai, in his revenge plan.
They brainstorm numerous strategies to advance the Love or Death Operation that will benefit both of them.

Did Masamune Get His Revenge?
Masamune-kun's Revenge did not see Masamune exact his revenge on Aki Adagaki. What happened in the past was simply a misunderstanding induced by Yoshino Koiwai's animosity for Aki Adagaki.
Yoshino Koiwai, not Aki, was the one who rejected Masamune's love confession.
Her anger for Aki overtook her, which is why she pretended to be Aki and refused Masamune's confession.
She was also the person who referred to Masamune as "Pig's Foot." Aki is unaware of everything that has occurred, and it bothers her that Masamune vanished without saying anything to her.
Thankfully, the truth was revealed, including Kanetsugu Gasou's true identity.
For the sake of Aki's family, Kanetsugu was simply pretending to be the Masamune she had known in the past.
Furthermore, Kanetsugu Gasou is a girl, not a boy! Aki would have married a girl if it hadn't been for Masamune!
