Uzumaki, also known as Maximum: Uzumaki, is the maximum technique within the Cursed Spirit Manipulation move.

This technique merges absorbed cursed spirits into a swirling form behind the user and the entity lunges at the target, delivering a potent strike with a highly concentrated cursed energy.

Initially, Uzumaki seems to counteract the primary benefit of Cursed Spirit Manipulation.

But when employing semi-grade 1 and higher cursed spirits in Uzumaki, their inherent techniques are extracted and bestowed upon the user.

This enables the curse manipulator to utilize the cursed techniques without the need to summon the associated cursed spirit.

In the recently aired episode titled Metamorphosis, Part 2, Kenjaku tells Yuji Itadori that Uzumaki is powerful.

However, it also throws away the options that serve as Cursed Spirit Manipulation’s main power.

Kenjaku acknowledges that he wasn’t excited to use this technique at first because he thought it was just a way to recycle low-level cursed spirits.

He adds that he was wrong, and goes on to explain the true potential of Uzumaki.

After revealing the power of Uzumaki, Kenjaku gobbles down the sphere containing Mahito in his sealed form.

Shortly after devouring Mahito for complete absorption, Kenjaku found himself attacked by other jujutsu sorcerers.

To mount an effective counterattack and extract Mahito’s Idle Transfiguration, Kenjaku unleashes the formidable Uzumaki.

Apart from Kenjaku, Suguru Geto, too, manifested Uzumaki after mastering his inherent technique.

Geto used Uzumaki during a decisive battle against special-grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu and the Queen of Curses, Rika Orimoto.

In this battle, most of Geto’s curses were divided between Shinjuku and Kyoto for the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.

He combined the remaining 4461 cursed spirits into a single force using Uzumaki to go after Okkotsu.

No, there is no direct relation between Jujutsu Kaisen’s Uzumaki and Junji Ito's legendary manga, Uzumaki.

However, we cannot deny the uncanny resemblance between the spiral that appears when Geto unleashes Uzumaki and the ominous spirals seen in Ito’s manga.

Gege Akutami may be paying homage to the iconic Uzumaki manga series by Ito. However, it remains a mystery if there is some sort of connection between the two.

It is also important to note that, in Japanese, Uzumaki means "swirl", so it can be as simple as that.

But one thing is for sure, and that is, both spirals showcased in Jujutsu Kaisen and Uzumaki look terrifying.
