The Mandalorian Director Breaks Silence on Temuera Morrison’s Potential Return After Season 3 Absence

It’s no secret that The Mandalorian fans felt robbed of not having the famed bounty hunter Boba Fett make his supposed epic comeback in Season 3.

In fact, even actor Temuera Morrison himself admitted being disappointed that he wasn’t called in, feeling left out of Season 3.

“I was supposed to be in The Mandalorian Season 3 but nobody rang me.” Morrison said, “I was waiting for the phone call in New Zealand, waiting and wanting to give up.”

However, in spite of this missed opportunity for Boba Fett, The Mandalorian director Robert Rodriguez has something to say about Morrison’s future:

“I can’t say… I’m sworn to secrecy. I wish I could tell you.” Rodriguez teased in a recent interview with Gizmodo, “I know all the answers to what you’re asking, but I can’t say.”

The director then continued on to share about his experience working on The Book of Boba Fett after helming one installment of The Mandalorian Season 2.

“It didn’t feel like you were seeing behind the scenes. It felt so real… The sets were so real. Even the volume was so real that you felt like you were in Star Wars…”

He added: “To get to direct and edit and be part of the Star Wars universe just as an experience is one of my favorite experiences because it was just a dream come true.”

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Temuera Morrison Fears Disney Could Block His Boba Fett Return

Seeing as many fans were unsatisfied with the 38-minute The Mandalorian finale failing to meet the expectations, Rodriguez’s statement provides hope for the future of Boba Fett’s return.

Though he played coy in answering, the fact that the director is hiding ‘what he knows’ about the bounty hunter’s return should be more than enough to suggest securing a cameo slot for Boba Fett.

It is worth mentioning that in spite of Boba Fett clearly defeating Cad Bane in their own series, new evidence came into form hinting at Bane’s potential return, as well.

There’s a possibility that both are coming back, whether in The Mandalorian Season 4 or in another Star Wars series.
