Supposedly Dead The Book of Boba Fett Character Potentially Returning, New Evidence Suggests

Boba Fett clearly defeated Cad Bane in Disney+’s The Book of Boba Fett, however, a new form of evidence has hinted at his potential return.

Cad Bane first made his live-action debut in The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 6, after his appearance in the animated series, The Clone Wars.

Unfortunately, Bane was not kept around for long once Boba shot off the blue-skinned Duros during a standoff by the next episode.

It remained debatable between fans whether the Duros has indeed still lived or not.

However, a new Star Wars Timelines book (via The Direct) revealed an excerpt about Boba Fett and Cad Bane’s duel, resulting in no deaths, as compared to its Disney Plus series.

The book detailed in on how Cad Bane was just ‘put out of action’ rather than instant death, seemingly suggesting that we could be seeing him back in the franchise.

“Beneath the blistering twin suns of Tatooine, Bane returns to fight Boba one-on-one. Fett’s armor protects him from Bane’s shots, but the Duros seems to have the advantage.”

“Resolved to protect his territory, Boba uses the weapon of his Tusken tribe, his gaffi stick — and stabs Bane through the chest, putting the Pykes’ hired gun out of action.”

Star Wars fans were disappointed at how short-lived Bane’s involvement was in The Book of Boba Fett, as opposed to his role in The Clone Wars.

But should this new evidence come to fruition in the future of the franchise, it is likely we’ll be seeing the bounty hunter alive and breathing once again.

Considering that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are making a big-screen comeback with all the live-action series crossovers (The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, etc.), it is possible for the creators to resurrect Bane, as well.

For now, all episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are available to stream on Disney+.
