For the past few months, we've been hearing a lot of casting news for James Gunn's Superman: Legacy as it is set to begin production early next year and fans have been excited to see who'll join the first DCU movie.

Recently, we learned that Nicholas Hoult was cast to play the iconic villain Lex Luthor while María Gabriela de Faría was also tapped to play The Authority member The Engineer.

Now, there are only a few roles left that need to be filled in the call sheet as Gunn is getting closer to rounding out the cast for the highly-anticipated film.

DC Studios has finally found the actors who will play Clark Kent's photographer friend Jimmy Olsen and Lex Luthor's assistant Eve Teschmacher in Superman: Legacy.

Variety has confirmed that The Righteous Gemstones star Skyler Gisondo and Portuguese model Sara Sampaio are set to play Jimmy Olsen and Eve Teschmacher, respectively, in the DCU film.

Gunn congratulated the two actors on his recent Instagram post where he called them "perfect fits" for their roles after overseeing hundreds of people who auditioned.

"After auditioning hundreds of folks for both of these roles, we finally found perfect fits with both @skylergisondo and @sarasampaio! Can’t wait for you guys to see them in action the summer of ‘25!" he wrote in his caption.

Gisondo has been fancast for the role of Jimmy Olsen ever since the project was announced so this is wonderful news for many DC fans who have been clamoring for Gunn to cast him as the fan-favorite character.

The inclusion of Eve Teschmacher is also interesting since it suggests that Lex Luthor might already be the CEO of LexCorp when we see him in the film and Eve is probably in cahoots with him on whatever scheme he is up to just like in the 1978 film.

Now, all eyes are on the remaining key characters that are yet to be cast in the film including Clark Kent and Lois Lane's boss Perry White, and potentially Martha and Jonathan Kent assuming that they're also involved in the story in some capacity.

Superman: Legacy is slated to release in theaters on July 11, 2025.
