Jacob Elordi has become one of the rising young actors today in Hollywood thanks to his acclaimed role in the hit HBO series Euphoria and his recent films Saltburn and Priscilla, where he played rock icon, Elvis Presley.

There's no doubt that he will be getting more major roles from both studio films and independent projects in years to come and it won't be surprising if he'll end up becoming a highly sought-after A-lister when the right time comes.

As usual, some people are also wondering whether he will also star in a superhero movie and there are certainly a lot of comic book roles that he can portray based on his physique.

However, it looks like that ship has sailed for him as he has no interest to take on that arena after revealing that he has declined to audition for a sought-after superhero role.

Speaking with GQ, Elordi revealed that he has no interest to star in a superhero film due to his own personal taste in the kinds of projects that he wants to get involved in.

"Not particularly, no. I’ve always been told to say a rounded answer or my agent will get mad at me. 'Anything can happen!,'" he said.

"And obviously anything can happen, but at this stage in my life, I don’t see myself having any interest in that. I like to make what I would watch, and I get very restless watching those movies."

The Euphoria star also revealed that he passed on the opportunity to audition for Superman as it was "too dark" for him.

He shared, "Well, they asked me to read for Superman. That was immediately, ‘No, thank you.’ That’s too much. That’s too dark for me."

Based on his response, we can safely say for now that we won't see Elordi star in a superhero film in the near future. If he declined to read for playing one of the most beloved superheroes of all time, what more for the other role in the genre regardless of the company behind it?

Whether it was a missed opportunity or not, it was still a respectable decision from Elordi and it is apparent that he is very keen on the types of roles that he wants to play. It just happens that none of them involves wearing a cape.
