Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3: Is The Series Renewed?
During the Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 on April 10, the executive producers of the series, Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett, and Athena Portillo confirmed that the series is getting renewed for Season 3!
All eyes are on Season 3 as it will be the series' last installment with the finale of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 ultimately setting up the events of the series and how the narrative will come to an end for every character.
Here's When We Expect Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 to Come Out!
The official Star Wars Twitter account has confirmed that Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 is coming out in 2024, though the exact release date remains unconfirmed.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 was confirmed during the panel of the series at the Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023.
While there is no exact release date yet, the confirmation that the series has been renewed for another season is enough for now because it gives everyone an assurance that it will be happening!
Who are the Actors Returning for Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3?
During the Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023, the producers teased the return of the various major characters for Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3.
These include the Bad Batch, Omega, Palpatine, Dr. Royce Hemlock, Rex, and Fennec Shand.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 will have Dee Bradley Baker back because, well, he's the voice of the whole Bad Batch!
Michelle Ang is also expected to be back for her role because she voices Omega, a pivotal character in the cloning project of Palpatine. It's not the Bad Batch without Omega!
Other possible returns include Rhea Perlman as Cid, Stephen Stanton as Admiral Tarkin, Ben Diskin as AZI-3, and Gwendoline Yeo as Nala Se. Jimmi Simpson is also expected to be back as Dr. Hemlock, the villain.
The teaser of the producers also includes Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand returning for the final run of the series.

What Will The Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 Be About?

It began with the Emperor (once again voiced by Palpatine actor Ian McDiarmid) visiting Dr. Royce Hemlock, leader of the Empire's cloning efforts, on Mount Tantiss.
"It is imperative that this facility remain secure," Palpatine says. "Your brilliance is a great asset to this Empire."
All members of the Bad Batch appear, with Hunter addressing Omega's capture at the hands of the Empire.
"Omega's been waiting for us. I'm not making her wait another day."
We see Omega and a sullen Crosshair, both still in Imperial custody. "I'm not giving up, Crosshair," Omega tells him. "I won't leave you, either. You're my brother."
Throughout, there are glimpses of several worlds and characters, including Republic commandos, clones, Rex, plenty of giant creatures ("Why is there always a huge monster!"
Wrecker asks, before dropping a thermal detonator in one's mouth.), and Ming-Na Wen's fan-favorite bounty hunter, Fennec Shand.
Fans can expect the series to follow the events from the finale of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2.
The death of Tech surely has a lingering effect on the whole team considering everything that they have been through as a group.
It is a heartbreaking sacrifice that made everyone shed a tear. This death leaves a huge hole in their hearts, possibly even the narrative.
Of all of the Bad Batch, Tech is the most relatable character.
Despite his cold and callous demeanor, the series showed how he cared for everyone even when he could not express it to them. He is the heart of the team and his loss definitely leaves a void.
But, there's a theory, too, that Tech could reappear sometime in the future should there be Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 with the narrative of Dr. Hemlock using decommissioned clones in his research.
He could use Tech, too, against the Bad Batch.
Speaking of Dr. Hemlock, the way he presented his work seems to be on something personal because he described it as a work "of great importance to the Emperor."
For Star Wars fans, this leads directly to the resurrection of Palpatine in The Rise of Skywalker.
The revelation of Emerie Karr being the genetic sister of Omega definitely shocked everyone! This shatters the perspective that Omega is the first female clone under Jango Fett made by the Kaminoans.
If it is true that Karr is really the genetic sister of Omega, then, that means there is another possible strand of the bloodline of Fett.
Also, the involvement of Karr in the Empire's Advanced Science Division is a potential major narrative in Season 3.

Being under Lucasfilm, if the series would be renewed, it could be expected that Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 would be out exclusively on Disney Plus where the first two seasons of the series could be found.

Unfortunately, even if Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 is happening, there is still no trailer for the series. Even if a green light is given, the series would still have to go through production and editing before a trailer could come out.
That being said, with Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 bound to happen, the earliest possible date to expect a trailer could be in mid-2024 to give the production team the time they need to produce the trailers, teasers, and the series itself.
