Star Wars: Carl Weathers Discusses Greef Karga's Evolution in The Mandalorian Season 3

If you were one of the millions of fans who watched the first trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3, there's a good chance you were impressed with Greef Karga's updated look. After all, the leader of the Bounty Hunters' Guild clearly got some new threads and appears to be enjoying his life on Nevarro. Not surprisingly, Carl Weathers confirms that his character has evolved when we see him again in the third season of the Star Wars series.

Carl Weathers appeared in the first two seasons of The Mandalorian and his character has gone through a lot in the Star Wars show. Interestingly, the Predator star told Gambit that we'll get to learn more about Karga this March.

"There are aspects of Greef’s character that you'll see in third season that you didn't see in the other two seasons," Weathers said. He then added that Karga will be enjoying some perks of his new position.

"And he — I'll just say this — he's become a magistrate. So his clothing is really kind of out there now. It's got all his finery on and beautiful colors and wearing crazy stuff and trying to keep Nevarro a safe place and place that you might want to call home," Weathers said.

This is great news considering that Greef Karga only appeared briefly in the second season. Carl Weathers' comments seem to confirm that Karga will have a bigger role in the next chapters of the Star Wars series and perhaps he might even join the action in the third season.

For now, the premise of the third season has not yet been revealed. Hopefully, we'll get to see more of Nevarro's magistrate in The Mandalorian Season 3. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The Mandalorian Season 3 will consist of eight episodes and is set to premiere on Disney+ on March 1, 2023.
