As the second half of the anime continues to air, a Spy x Family fan shared art of the Forger family trio in a cute Cartoon Network style.
Specifically, illustrator and character designer @milkkirie shared on her Twitter account her take on Loid, Yor, and Anya, albeit in a style that evokes classic Cartoon Network shows.
Spy x Family Anime Popularity
Spy x Family is an anime series by Wit Studio and CloverWorks that’s based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuya Endo.
The manga is serialized in Jump+ and is one of Shueisha’s biggest modern hits.
For reference, the series has over 27 million copies in circulation as of October 2022, making it among the bestselling manga titles of all time.
The series follows Twilight, a Westalian spy who is tasked to spy on the neighboring country of Ostania.
His mission is to get close to a high-ranking Ostanian official to prevent a war between the two neighboring nations.
To get close to him, Twilight adopts the alias of Loid Forger, marries city hall clerk Yor Briar, and adopts the orphan, Anya.
But things aren’t as they seem as it turns out that Yor is an assassin while Anya is a telepath.
Among the trio, only Anya knows the truth behind their fake family.
The manga was already popular shortly after serialization, and thanks to the anime, its popularity worldwide skyrocketed.
The first half of the series aired in Spring 2022 and became the season’s most popular show. Its second half also continues to be watched by lots of fans all over the world.
Thanks to its popularity, the series has gotten a lot of memes along with creative fan art.
