Spy x Family Code: White Reveals IMAX Release With Anya Poster

Most anime film releases in Japan get IMAX releases these days, so it’s no surprise that the Spy x Family movie is also getting one. To mark the film’s upcoming large format release, the new Spy x Family Code: White IMAX poster was shared, featuring Anya Forger front and center.

This new poster was shared on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. Along with the poster, the film’s official cinema list was also shared.

Spy x Family Movie Is Getting an IMAX Release in Japan This December

Spy x Family was one of the most popular anime of 2022 as it’s a show that can be enjoyed by everyone. Not only does it have action, but it also has plenty of comedy and heartwarming moments.

Thanks to its success, the show was quickly renewed for a second season. This new season is airing now as part of the Fall 23 anime lineup.

Along with this, fans can also look forward to the Code: White movie this December.

This new movie is not based on the manga. Instead, it features an original story that’s written by series creator Tatsuya Endo.

Aside from getting a wide release in Japan, it’s also confirmed now that the Spy x Family film will get an IMAX release in the country.

This is no surprise given that big anime movie releases like The Boy and the Heron, One Piece Film: Red, and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 were also released in IMAX theaters.

New Spy x Family Code: White Poster Features Anya With a Smug Look

Most films released in IMAX get special posters. Spy x Family Code: White is no exception as a new poster was unveiled to hype up its upcoming premium release.

This new poster features Anya Forger with a smug look while playing with a toy gun. It also features the IMAX logo prominently at the top.

Interestingly, the poster doesn’t use the series’ signature green hue as it is instead predominantly orange in color.

Spy x Family Code: White will be released in Japan in regular and IMAX theaters on December 22, 2023.

For now, there’s no word yet on a release date outside the country, though fans can expect it to get released sometime in 2024.

Based on previous anime IMAX screenings, it should also get an IMAX release internationally.
