OG Silver Surfer Reportedly Still Appearing in The Fantastic Four

The original Silver Surfer is still set to make an appearance in Marvel's The Fantastic Four according to a recent scoop.

A few weeks ago, it was reported that Ozark star Julia Garner has been cast to play the Shalla-Bal version of the Silver Surfer. Her casting sparked various reactions among fans as some of them were surprised by the decision.

Since then, there have been questions regarding whether it indicates that the film will only introduce the female Silver Surfer or Norrin Radd is still included in some capacity.

OG Silver Surfer Norrin Radd is Reportedly Still Part of The Fantastic Four

A recent report claimed that Norrin Radd, who is known as the original Silver Surfer, is still set to be introduced in The Fantastic Four alongside Shalla-Bal.

It is unclear, however, whether the character will also become the Silver Surfer in the film or he will stay in his human-looking form.

So far, Marvel Studios has not confirmed the claims that were made in the report.

If the scoop ends up being true, it could also explain LaKeith Stanfield's mysterious response to Garner's casting as the Silver Surfer on his now-deleted social media post.

Some fans have speculated that Stanfield might have also been in talks to play the Norrin Radd version of the Silver Surfer which is why he made the post. Up to this day, the actor has not made any explanation.

It is interesting to see what the film has in store with the introduction of the Silver Surfer, but we can safely say that they are taking a different approach than what traditionally has been in the comics.

The Fantastic Four is scheduled for release in theaters on July 25, 2025.
