The Fantastic Four star Joseph Quinn has shared his thoughts surrounding the superhero fatigue debate.

Considering the lukewarm box office and critical reception of some of the recent MCU releases in the past few years, critics and fans have been wondering whether we're now at the point of "superhero fatigue."

Marvel Studios is currently reassessing its strategy in response to the concerns. There are also hopes that the upcoming releases such as Deadpool and Wolverine and The Fantastic Four will be able to put the MCU franchise back on track again.

Quinn recently weighed in on the superhero fatigue concerns during a recent interview as he is preparing for the production of The Fantastic Four this summer.

He explained that the people involved in the MCU film are making sure that they will be able to get the project right and the material is different from the other MCU projects.

"I think that with the story of the Fantastic Four, it feels like we want to get this right. There are aspects of it that are very different to other Marvel films. That felt very compelling to me," he said.

"And again, going back to who's involved, Matt [Shakman], of course, the director, I think is brilliant, and the cast, and I've read it and the script is brilliant. It's really brilliant. I'm delighted to have this opportunity."

The Human Torch actor also explained that he is not worried about superhero fatigue as he believes that what matters the most is that the audience will be invested in the characters.

"Superhero movies are movies about people. And if we're invested in the people and the characters and the peril and the spectacle, then that's why people go to the theaters to watch films. We're not just in a penny; we're in for a pound with this one. We're going to go for it," Quinn added.

It remains to be seen yet how The Fantastic Four will play out since it has not started filming, but it is great to hear an assurance that they are making sure that the First Family's MCU debut will live up to the hype and quality.

Marvel Studios is also aware that there are a lot of stakes surrounding The Fantastic Four since none of the past movies about the First Family were well-received by fans.

So far, everything that we've been hearing has been at least promising and all we can do is hope that everything will go in the right direction throughout the making of the film.

The Fantastic Four is scheduled for release in theaters on July 25, 2025.
