Mordred is an antagonist who was first introduced in The Eminence in Shadow Season 2.
He's a Knight of Rounds; an important authority figure in the Cult of Diablos. As such, he's among the leaders of the Cult's activities in the Oriana kingdom.
In recent episodes, it is revealed that Royal Chancellor Perv Asshat is his subordinate and reports to him about the retrieval of a dangerous relic.
Perv is afraid of Mordred and tries to hide his failure to secure control of the Black Rose, a weapon that could destroy Oriana.
When Rose refuses to marry Perv and brings his crime to light, Mordred reveals that he is the one possessing the relic needed to activate Black Rose.
However, Cid thwarts Mordred's plans to summon the demon Ragnarok and destroy Oriana.

Mordred from The Eminence in Shadow possesses powers that render him one of the strongest Diablos cultists. It is not by chance that he's one of the Cult's executive leaders, after all.
In terms of physical strength, Mordred is a highly skilled swordsman whose dexterity is enough for him to easily kill an opponent with a single swing of his sword.
In the penultimate episode of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2, he beheads both Perv Asshat and Reina, Rose's mother, with what looks like a single move.
His weapon of choice is the Invisible Blade, a legendary elven relic that allows him to hold his ground against the Seven Shadows in an upcoming battle.
Moreover, he has strong endurance and can resist extremely strong attacks. He's one of the few villains in the isekai anime who could survive Cid's infamous "I am Atomic."
