Zack Snyder got his wish with Netflix finally unleashing his two-part space epic, Rebel Moon this December 15th. Why Does Michiel Huisman From Rebel Moon Look Familiar?
Michiel Huisman has previously starred in The Age of Adaline, A Boy Called Christmas, and The Haunting of Hill House, but he's known by many for his involvement in a much bigger franchise.
Some of you may probably be surprised to learn that Huisman played a prominent role in Game of Thrones. Huisman was Daario Naharis, whom Daenerys Targaryen was initially attracted to.
However, instead of Daenerys cementing their relationship by marrying him, she chose the logical strategy to ally with the nobles of Meereen.
Now, some of the fans of Game of Thrones may be well aware of this, but Huisman was not the original actor for Daario Naharis. It was Ed Skrein until he was recast after playing the role for a few episodes.
Back in 2015, Skrein addressed the recasting on Entertainment Weekly by explaining that he did not leave the HBO show for Transporter, as initially suggested by reports.
Skrein clarified that although he was in for the long haul with Game of Thrones, "politics" led to him parting ways from the show.
As fate would have it, both actors would meet on the set of Rebel Moon.

Michiel Huisman's Rebel Moon Role Explained
Michiel Huisman plays the role of Gunnar in Rebel Moon. Gunnar is one of the Veldt farmers living in the small town being terrorized in the galaxy. He's a part of those trying to keep their crops and territory protected from the Imperium.
As Netflix Tudum described the character, Gunnar accompanies Kora on her globe-trotting quest, however, his story comes with a twist — where he eventually comes entangled with Ed Skrein's Admiral Atticus Noble.
