For the past couple of months, we've been hearing a lot of rumors about the potential cast of the MCU reboot of Fantastic Four, which is reportedly still in the casting process at the moment.
A lot of names have been thrown around the mix whether it's Adam Driver for Reed Richards, Antonio Banderas for Galactus, or Jodie Comer for Sue Storm. However, none of them have been confirmed by Marvel Studios and the mystery regarding the casting still continues.
Now, another name has been added to the rumor mill as notable insider Daniel Richtman claimed (via The Direct) that Oscar-nominated actress Margot Robbie is being offered to play Sue Storm/Invisible Woman in the MCU's Fantastic Four movie.
Robbie is currently known for playing Harley Quinn in the DCEU. If she ends up taking on the role, she will be jumping ship to the MCU and we might possibly see a situation of either Robbie leaving the DC franchise or she will star in both major superhero franchises, which is becoming less rare nowadays.
The scoop has not been confirmed yet by Marvel nor it was reported yet by the major trades so we have to take it with a grain of salt. However, looking at Richtman's past track record, there is also a likelihood that it ends up being true.
It should also be pointed out that the alleged scoop, if true, does not mean that Robbie is officially taking on the role and there is a chance that she'll end up passing it.
This new rumor comes as Richtman also revealed recently that he heard that Oscar-nominated actor Paul Mescal has been offered to play Johnny Storm. We've also heard for the past few weeks that Driver is allegedly the top choice to play Reed Richards.
For now, let's just wait and see whether Robbie's rumored casting in Fantastic Four ends up being true. Given the caliber of talent that she is, it wouldn't be a bad idea to see her get involved in the MCU.
