Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for Loki Season 2 Episode 4, so read at your own risk!

The fourth episode of Loki season 2 saw the death of two new characters that were introduced this season: the Kang variant Victor Timely and General Dox.

While the show has killed off guest characters in the past such as Classic Loki and He Who Remains in the first season, this is the first time that a recurring character in the series met their demise, let alone two in just a single episode.

Even though these characters are not necessarily part of the show's main core, it was still shocking to witness their demise, especially with how brutal they both were.

General Dox's demise happened in the middle of the episode when Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes showed up in the holding cell where Dox, X-5, and the Minutemen were imprisoned for pruning the branched timelines.

Renslayer tried to sway Dox to help her take over the management of the TVA and offered everyone in the room to join her in exchange for getting a new life in the timeline.

As no one was accepting the offer, Miss Minutes gleefully turned on the torture device while X-5 decided to join Renslayer's side.

Dox and the other Minutemen didn't budge and they ended up getting crushed to death by the torture device.

This was certainly a gruesome death for Dox and the Minutemen even if their demise was not shown on the frame and it was still horrifying as we heard the sounds of their bodies being crushed.

The first two episodes of the season gave us the impression that Dox might be one of the main antagonists, but this moment quickly shot down that idea. However, that wasn't the only death that we witnessed in this intense-filled episode.

Victor Timely Gone Too Soon

After being prominently introduced in the third episode as a new variant of Kang, Victor Timely met his demise near the end of the recent episode.

As Loki, Mobius, Sylvie, OB, Casey, B-15, and Timely enacted their plan to fix the temporal loom by launching a multiplier device, Loki volunteered to take the device to the launcher outside.

Timely offered to do it instead since he was more familiar with the device. OB instructed him to wear the protective suit and do the task quickly since they were running out of time.

However, as soon as Timely stepped outside to the walkway, he was quickly disintegrated due to the temporal radiation being too powerful at that point.

The remaining characters were horrified as they witnessed Timely's death. At the same time, the loom finally exploded, leaving their fate and the entire multiverse unknown.

This was also a shocking death for fans considering how prominent he was for the last two episodes of the series, but alas, this Kang variant wasn't able to survive the events and it doesn't help that his demise was quick and gruesome.

While Timely might be gone, this might not be the last time that we'll be seeing Jonathan Majors this season since he could still show up as another variant of Kang later on.
