For the past few years, we have seen a lot of debates surrounding the dominance of comic book movies in theaters as they consistently become the top grosser at the box office and are considered to be the most-seen genre by the general moviegoers.
Award-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese has been very vocal about the topic and he recently made new comments again as he called it a "danger" to culture and he encouraged the filmmakers to fight back against it to "save cinema."
As expected, it generated another storm of debates online with various sides arguing about the validity of Scorsese's recent comments and whether comic book movies still matter today since some of them have also disappointed at the box office recently.
Now, one of the producers behind a hit comic book series has chimed in and reacted to the famed director's recent comments.

Loki Producer Kevin Wright Disagrees with Martin Scorsese's Recent Comments
In an interview with Geeks of Color, Loki executive producer Kevin Wright responded to Scorsese's recent comments on comic book movies where he expressed his disagreement and argued that they still have artistic merit.
"[Loki] is being built with a lot of love and care, and an eye for the cinematic. Any of these shows, any of these movies, anything in this world is about making a character-focused story that audiences can connect with," he said.
"I would challenge anyone watching to say that [this show] is not cinematic, and it’s not built with the highest craftsmanship and care."
Wright added, "Frankly, people just want to see good stories. If you build something beautiful, [the audience is] going to enjoy it, whether it’s a show like this, or an indie film."
As the producer pointed out, what matters the most in the end is that the audience will be invested in a good story no matter what the genre is whether it's based on comic books or a historical event such as Scorsese's recent film Killers of the Flower Moon.
There are a lot of good arguments that you can make on both sides regarding this never-ending debate, but the audience also matters a lot in the conversation as they are the ones who determine which types of films and shows they are willing to spend their time and money on.
