Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for Loki Season 2 Episode 4, so read at your own risk!

The recently-aired fourth episode of Loki season 2 ended with the biggest cliffhanger yet in an MCU show as it has major ramifications for the entire multiverse and perhaps changes the sacred timeline as we've known it.

Following the end of the third episode, we saw Loki, Mobius, and Sylvie return to the TVA alongside Victor Timely, who saw the carvings of He Who Remains and recognized his variants in the Multiversal War mural.

Afterward, they went to the basement and visited OB, who Timely recognized as the author of the TVA handbook. After a fanboy encounter between the two, OB revealed his plan to fix the temporal loom which involves taking a multiplier device to the launcher and sending it to the loom.

However, the main issue is that there is too much radiation around the loom compared to the first episode when Mobius extracted Loki and the device is still being fixed so there is no guarantee that it will work. Timely presented his prototype and helped OB on fixing the device using it.

After resolving the hijinks involving Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes' attempt to overtake the TVA, OB, Timely, and Casey were able to finish fixing the device and OB rebooted the system to keep Miss Minutes from interfering with their task.

After Loki and Sylvie rescued Timely from Renslayer and X-5, Timely's aura was scanned and the system recognized him as He Who Remains which resulted in the doors unlocking.

Loki volunteered to take the device to the launcher, but Timely volunteered to do it instead since he was more familiar with its functions. He was instructed by OB to quickly wear the protective suit and do the task as fast as he could as time was running out.

Timely wore the suit and headed to the walkway, but he was quickly disintegrated the moment he stepped outside as the radiation was already too powerful.

The remaining characters in the room were horrified by Timely's "spaghettied" death and they watched the loom explode as there was nothing that they could do to resolve it at that point.

The episode ended with Loki and the others looking at a very bright flash from the explosion, leaving their fate and the entire multiverse unknown.

This is a massive cliffhanger that fans will definitely talk about for days until the fifth episode airs next week given its ramifications to the sacred timeline and the entire MCU multiverse in general.

Has the multiverse been unleashed? Is the sacred timeline gone as we know it? What will happen now to the TVA? So many questions that the next episode has to address and fans definitely can't wait to find out the answers.
