KINGDOM Arthur will not be part of the K-pop group's upcoming promotions due to a health issue.

KINGDOM's agency, GF Entertainment, announced on Tuesday that Arthur would be on a temporary hiatus due to an undisclosed health issue. The label said the break would allow the K-pop idol to recuperate.

In a statement, GF Entertainment said Arthur's health worsened in the past days and that he began experiencing abnormal symptoms. With that, they decided to adjust some schedule to allow him to recuperate.

During his recovery period, KINGDOM will continue to promote with only the six members excluding Arthur. GF Entertainment added that it would release a separate announcement once he is well enough to rejoin the group's scheduled activities.

"We apologize for giving you cause for concern through this sudden news, and we ask for the generous understanding of the fans in regards to this decision that we made to prioritize our artist's health," it went on.

The company also pledged to fans that it would help its artist in his recovery.

KINGDOM Arthur Previously Tested Positive for COVID-19

Before the recent health issue, KINGDOM had to postpone its comeback in March after Arthur and Mujin both tested positive for COVID-19.

The members reportedly experienced light symptoms of sore throat, prompting them to take rapid antigen tests on March 14. A few hours later, the result came back positive.

Arthur and Mujun received three shots of the COVID-19 vaccine before contracting the virus.

As a result, KINGDOM delayed the release of History of Kingdom: Part IV. Instead of March 17, the group moved it on March 31.

KINGDOM debuted in 2021 with seven members: Dann, Mujin, Arthur, Louis, Ivan, Jahan, and Chiwoo. The latter terminated his contract in May 2022 but was replaced by Hwon three months later.

The K-pop group notably released its EPs with the titles, including each member's name.

It also won several awards, including Next Generation Hallyu Star Award at the Newsis K-EXPO Cultural Awards, Focus Award – Music in 2021 and Potential Award – Singer in 2022 at the Asia Artist Awards, and Cultural Grand Prize at Korea Contribution Awards.
