Taxi Driver 2 just outshined the Netflix Kdrama series The Glory as Korea’s favorite TV show.
Taxi Driver 2 is based on the webcomic The Deluxe Taxi. It tells the story of the cab company, Rainbow Taxi Company, which offers a service to take revenge for its clients. Lee Je Hoon's Kim Do Ki, a taxi driver and a former Special Forces officer, helps them seek justice as he defends the victims of violence and injustice.
The series also featured Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Jin, Jang Hyuk Jin, Bae Yoo Ram, and Shin Jae Ha, among others.

Taxi Driver 2 Becomes Korea’s Favorite TV Series
Following the success of the installment, Gallup Korea conducted a survey from April 17 to 20 to determine “South Korean's favorite broadcasting show programs in April.”
The website revealed the result on Monday, and it showed Lee Je Hoon-led drama on the top spot after 1,003 individuals participated in the survey. The series scored a 5.2 percent preference rate, beating Mr. Trot 2 and The Glory, which had 3.9 percent and 3.6 percent, respectively.
Completing the top 5 were Jinny’s Kitchen at 2.5 percent, and The Real Has Come! at 2.3 percent.

Lee Je Hoon recently told a news outlet that the Taxi Driver franchise’s message regarding the issues in South Korea’s legal system made the franchise successful.
He told The Korea Times, "When we look at whether these wrongdoings, which often happen in real life, get the appropriate legal consequences, I feel many think 'no.' So I think that's why so many people responded to it, even though the series' story is fictional and made up. I hope this series' story continues to be brought up so we can keep our interest in the bad events that happened in our society.”
Will There Be Taxi Driver Season 3?
One day after Taxi Driver season 2 released its final episode, the producers of the series revealed that Taxi Driver season 3 was already in the works.
The production team added that they would start the discussions with the actors, director, and writer. While it remains unknown whether Lee Je Hoon will return, the actor previously said he would love to return for another season in the Kdrama series.
