The long-awaited second season is finally premiering tomorrow, and to further hype it up, Jujutsu Kaisen released a new preview of Season 2 Episode 1, featuring new screenshots of the young Gojo and Geto.
Along with these two, there are also screenshots of other familiar characters from the first season during their younger years.
These new screenshots were shared on the show’s official website. Along with the new images, a synopsis for the next episode was also published.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Will Begin With Mei Mei and Utahime
As previously revealed, the initial episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will follow the Hidden Inventory Arc, which features Gojo and Geto as its major players. Though the first episode won’t just focus on them.
While manga fans will already know this, anime fans will be happy to know that other characters from the first season such as Mei Mei and Utahime will be featured in the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2’s premiere episode.
Of course, it won’t just follow these two as Gojo and Geto will soon appear, along with other characters.
From the looks of it, the first episode will not stray far from the story of the manga. And this also means we won’t see the first arc’s main antagonist, the fan-favorite Toji Fushiguro.
So far, all the promotional materials for the anime are centered around the Hidden Inventory Arc, though this arc will only be five episodes long.
The rest of the 2-cour anime will cover the Shibuya Incident, which is considered by fans to be the series’ biggest and best arc yet.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Shares New Screenshots Ahead of Episode 1 Premiere
Aside from Gojo, Geto, Mei Mei, and Utahime, other characters that will appear in the first episode were also highlighted in the latest set of screenshots.
These include the likes of Shoko and Yaga. Plus, it seems that the new character Riko Amanai will also appear in the first episode.
Along with their younger looks, some fans may note that the new season features a slightly different look compared to the first.
That’s because MAPPA enlisted Shouta Goshozono to be the new director.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 1 will release tomorrow in Japan.
The episode is expected to release shortly after its Japanese broadcast on Crunchyroll given that the first season was also streamed there.
