Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 was directed by Seong-Hu Park, a South Korean animator and director.

Since joining studio MAPPA in 2017, he has worked on several of their most popular anime.

You can see Park's animation work in several episodes of Banana Fish, Yuri on Ice, and Terror in Resonance.

The key animation of some Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood episodes is also his work.

As a director, he has worked on The God of High School, Garo: Vanishing Line, and the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie.

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of Park's most popular works. After its success, we expect his future works to also become quite popular.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2's director is Shouta Goshozono. He was already in the Jujutsu Kaisen team before his appointment, having served as an episode director for Episodes 8 and 17.

While he hasn't worked on as many MAPPA giants as his predecessor, he was part of Chainsaw Man Episode 8's direction, key animation, and storyboard.

He has also worked on the key animation of Black Clover and Mob Psycho 100 II.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is the first major work in which Goshozono is the main director.

What Does the Director Change Mean for Jujutsu Kaisen?

Given MAPPA's recent production issues with Hell's Paradise, any change might be worrying to fans, but Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is looking good so far.

Some fans are understandably disappointed with the change as they feel that Season 1 was close to perfect.

Park established himself as a great action director, especially as he did a great job in bringing many Jujutsu Kaisen battles to life.

While he will definitely be missed, we're excited to see his next works.

On the other hand, many appreciate Jujutsu Kaisen's new direction and have positive feelings about the change.

In particular, those who have watched the trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 appreciate the improved visuals.

Change always feels a little strange at first, but it isn't all that uncommon in anime, and we're excited about what the shounen anime's next season is going to bring.
