Many Jujutsu Kaisen fans were still in shock after last week’s episode, and now, things haven’t gotten any better. The only silver lining is that Nobara was stabilized, though she might still end up dying.

After this, Yuji is shown teaming up with Todo as they face off against Mahito. Most of the episode is dedicated to this, with the episode ending with a teaser of the fight’s epic continuation.

Of course, the new episode was not all about fighting. There was a scene dedicated to Miwa and Mechamaru. In this scene, Miwa is shown talking to Mechamaru’s third and final machine.

Technically, Mechamaru is already dead, but his last machine enables him to talk to Miwa for one last time.

There, Mechamaru confessed that he acted in secrecy so that his friends at the Kyoto school would not be available to help on October 31st. This is so that their lives won’t be put in danger.

As Mechamaru’s machine is shutting down, he also says that he loves Miwa and wishes that she’ll live a happy life.

This was already an emotional scene in the manga, but fans who watched it were moved to tears thanks to the anime’s portrayal of the moment.

The scene combined touching voice acting by the cast members with beautiful yet somber visuals.

This combination heightened the impact of the scene, so much so that many fans took to social media to express their feelings.

Even though it was a short moment, it was arguably a scene-stealer as lots of viewers still can’t stop talking about being affected by it emotionally.

This might be the end of the line for Mechamaru, but Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will continue with Episode 45 next week.

It will pick up right where the last episode left off, with Yuji and Todo continuing their fight against a serious Mahito.
