Emma Samanda helps Higan avenge Mari and his child. She vows to uphold Mari’s wish and her promise to herself, but is Emma Samanda dead following the events of Ninja Kamui episode 9?

What Happened in Ninja Kamui Episode 9?
While Emma and Jason begin hacking into AUZA's primary servers, Big D arrives to confront Higan.
He discovered Higan's hideout after discreetly installing a surveillance device in Emma's truck that gave him his whereabouts.
But before Big D arrived, Joseph of AUZA became enraged with the latter for failing to return his calls. He then put an explosive device on Big D’s Gusoku Gear without the latter knowing about it.
While Big D fights Higan, several of Joseph’s men also appear to ambush Emma and the others.
Mike tried his best to fight the other soldiers, but Emma decided to help her partner and leave the hacking job to Jason.
By the end of the episode, Higan defeats Big D with his Gusoku gear. Emma and Mike were also able to contain the situation.
When Higan was about to kill Big D for good, Joseph’s explosive device inside Big D was triggered. Emma was caught in the explosion, while Higan, Mike, and Jason were able to make it out alive.
Emma’s face-changing system was damaged, revealing her true face in the process. Higan and Mike tried to help Emma out, but there was nothing they could do at that moment.
Emma’s injuries are too severe; even if they bring her to a hospital, she won't be able to make it.
By the end of the episode, Higan and the others watch as Emma’s body is consumed by fire.
So, Is Emma Samanda Dead, or Will She Come Back in Ninja Kamui? Theories and Predictions
The ending of Ninja Kamui episode 9 depicts Higan, Mike, and Jason burning Emma's corpse, implying that she has already perished in the series.
The ending also showed some of Emma's precious memories, which likely indicates that her role in the story is already finished. It's a shame, though, because she did so much for Higan, yet she didn't make it out alive.
The synopsis of both episodes 10 and 11 also confirmed that Emma is already dead. However, her work will be useful for Higan and the others to bring down AUZA, as well as Master Yamaji and the ninja organization.
As much as we want her back, it looks like Emma has exited the ninja series, and there'll be no coming back.
