The widely acclaimed Riotgames video game League of Legends gave birth to the Netflix series, Arcane, back in November 2021. The LGBTQ+ representation in the media remains an ambiguous quest, especially considering how viewers are more likely to hate when a TV series is rubbing it in their faces that it has gay characters and they have to deal with it.

Not Arcane, though. Arcane may have started as an animated adaptation that broke off the video game curse, but as Season 1 progressed, the Netflix series proved that the story was more than that.

In one specific episode, where Vi and Caitlyn had to interrogate and look for more clues behind Silco and Vi looking for her younger sister, Jinx, the two women visited the brothel in the Undercity.

Caitlyn, being a rookie investigator, finds herself pinned against the wall when Vi confronts her she needs to utilize her appealing side when it comes to tracking down what she needs in her sleuthing.

That said, Vi even asked her, "So what'll it be, man or woman?" when Cait had to decide whom she had to seduce to get information.

To Vi's surprise, she was stunned to see Cait getting along splendidly with a woman, which implies Vi and Caitlyn possibly being queer.

Other Possible LGBT Characters in Arcane

In the beginnings of Viktor and Jayce's friendship as scientists for Piltover, there were implications between being more than friends, however, that was all there was: implied motives.

Ultimately, Jayce got together with one of the Council, Mel Medarda, with Viktor seeking out the truth beyond their scientific discoveries.

The first episode of Arcane Season 1 depicted a transwoman in the brothel, although this led to mixed feelings from fans, considering how she was depicted as a butch woman.

The Arcane series is not dominantly an LGBT series, however, it does indicate the common tropes of an early romance kickstarting in the first season of the series.

Focusing on the chemistry and growing fondness between Vi and Caitlyn, their relationship remains a 'maybe', at least until Arcane Season 2 or any future content from Riotgames confirms they are together.

However, no one can deny just how good together these two look and feel on the small screen. There had been plenty of clues leading up to their romance.

Caitlyn rejected Jayce's flowers when she was sick, Vi staring down at Cait's lips when she was having a hard time breathing, and of course, who could forget the time Cait showering and the only thing echoing in her mind was when Vi walked away?
