One of the many MCU shows that is currently in the works is Ironheart, which will follow Riri Williams' journey following her introduction in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

So far, Marvel Studios and Disney+ have not set a release window yet for the series even though production already wrapped a while ago. We also have not heard any significant update on its progress as it is currently undergoing post-production.

Some fans have started to wonder about the latest status of the series amid its delay and whether it will still arrive on Disney+ in the future.

Fortunately, we now have a new update on the progress of the series coming from the star herself.

Speaking with Deadline recently at the Sundance Film Festival, Ironheart star Dominique Thorne shared an update on the progress of the delayed MCU series.

She iterated that filming has already concluded and teased fans for the "epic journey" that they will embark on in the show.

"Filming has concluded, indeed. I mean, I can say strap in, get ready. It will be a ride much like they all are. It is an epic journey, and one that I’m very excited to share," Thorne said.

While the actress' comments might not be as revealing as fans might want them to be, it is great to hear that the MCU series is still on its way despite the lack of updates and we have an assurance that they are working to make sure that it will air at some time.

As we learned months ago, Marvel Studios is currently reassessing all of their upcoming projects and perhaps that is the reason why we haven't heard an update on the release of Ironheart.

It wouldn't be surprising if we hear later on that the film will undergo reshoots to fix some of the issues that they want to address while they're still in post-production.

For now, fans should patiently wait for more news and updates regarding the progress of the series.
