The reception of the MCU TV shows has been divisive for the most part. While some of them have been beloved and acclaimed throughout their run, some of them also received polarizing reactions due to their lack of creative direction that didn't meet the typical MCU standard.
The MCU TV productions have also been notorious for having a different approach than usual since the projects were not overseen by a showrunner and relied a lot on fixing the story issues through reshoots similar to its film productions.
There's a lot of that you can pinpoint regarding the flaws of the MCU TV shows, but there's no doubt that it's a growing issue that Marvel Studios needs to address to avoid risking losing its core audience in the long run.
Now, it looks like the studio is finally addressing the backlash as they are set to change their strategy over their TV productions.

Marvel Studios is Implementing New Strategy for the MCU Shows
In a new report from The Hollywood Reporter revealing the creative reboot that Daredevil: Born Again is undergoing and the trouble productions that shows such as Secret Invasion faced, they reported that Marvel Studios is now implementing a new strategy on their MCU TV productions.
Previously, the shows didn't have the traditional TV process since the showrunners didn't oversee the projects and the duty was relegated to the film executives instead.
It also didn't commission a pilot and they shoot the entire season on the fly. Just like the film projects, it relied a lot on post-production and reshoots to fix the issues in the story.
Internally, the studio has also been criticized for its lack of central vision. The directors feel short-changed as well due to the "fix it in post" attitude.
After seeing She-Hulk: Attorney at Law head writer Jessica Gao's oversight during the show's post-production, Marvel Studios realized the importance of having the same creative throughline from beginning to end.
Moving forward, the studio will now hire showrunners to take the reign of their TV productions and they are planning on having full-time TV executives.
"It’s a term we’ve not only grown comfortable with but also learned to embrace," Marvel Studios executive Brad Winderbaum said. "We need executives that are dedicated to this medium, that is going to focus on streaming, focus on television because they are two different forms."
The studio is also changing its development process as showrunners will now write the pilot and the show bibles. They will also lean heavily on multi-season serialized TV shows rather than their typical limited series format.
These changes are definitely going to be massive since Marvel Studios is seemingly eager to take its TV shows in a new direction that will hopefully result in better quality and respond to the criticisms that they have received on their TV outputs.
Hopefully, their approach to a more traditional TV production process will work out (and proven to have always been working), and perhaps this awakening could lead to winning back the audience again.
