Iman Vellani has become one of the rising stars in the MCU thanks to her wonderful performance as Kamala Khan in Ms. Marvel and The Marvels. Fans are now excited to see more of her in the future of the franchise.
The actress is now set to appear next in the upcoming animated series Marvel Zombies which will follow the events of the fan-favorite fifth episode of What If...? where our favorite MCU characters found themselves in a zombie outbreak similar to the comic series it is inspired from.
So far, most of the plot details are under wraps except for the appearances of several Phase Four characters who are going to be part of the action.
Now, the actress has shared some details on her next MCU appearance and it looks like it is going to be an exciting journey for Kamala Khan.

Iman Vellani Discusses Kamala Khan's Role in Marvel Zombies
In an interview with The Direct, Vellani discussed the recording sessions that she did on her voicework as Kamala Khan in Marvel Zombies.
While she didn't divulge any details regarding the plot of the series, she did reveal that Kamala will be one of the main characters that it is going to center on.
"We’ve done the whole thing. It was amazing. It was so much fun. And I love—there are a lot of cool characters in the Marvel Zombies show. And Kamala is kind of the center of the show," Vellani said. "They described it to me, it's like, 'She's basically the Frodo of the story.' And I was like, 'That's amazing.'"
The actress also teased that Kamala will interact with a lot of characters during the course of the series.
"And I get to interact and meet all these people along her journey. And, yes, they're only the voices, and I don't get to hear their voices in real-time," she added.
"But just, it's my fantasies, right? Like, knowing Kamala is going to interact with some really cool people, even if it's just animation, is so special in a lot of ways."
The details that Vellani shared surrounding her role in the upcoming series are definitely exciting since it looked like Kamala will be explored in a very different way given the unusual situation we will see her in when we watch the animated show.
Even though it is set in a different universe, a lot of fans would definitely be looking forward to seeing Kamala's interaction with the other MCU heroes especially since she is a fan of them.
Marvel Zombies is slated to release on Disney+ in 2024.
